Iowa school voucher scam update: Private schools raising tuition up to 40%. Special ed services to public schools will have a 30 million dollar cut

The shit will hit the fan on this issue this coming Fall when those most effected by this abomination feel the pain. Not until then.
Who would that be bean? I support. I now can send my kids to school in the town I actually live in

Why would anyone want to fully fund the education of any kid,.. Parents have a level of responsibility.

Parents do have responsibility. We all have an interest in an educated public. We need good workers for various reasons. We should want to pay for education. You cant just say 'Its not my problem" about everything. You can stick your head in the sand I guess though.

Trinity Lutheran School, Davenport, Iowa has 380 students
from PK, K-8. The student teacher ratio is 21:1 with 16 full
time teachers and 4 part time. Student diversity is evident
with 81% white students and 19% are Multi-Racial, Hispanic,
and African American.

Tuition is $5,000 per year for children who are members of
Trinity Lutheran Church and $6,700 for non-member children.
Those figures have been steady in the recent past and will be
for the near future. This school has been blessed with donors
who provide financial aid for non-member children.

Bottom Line: This small parochial school has a history of excellent
education and has been successful without state aid. They are
not about to scam anyone with drastic tuition increases.

Where did you get this from?

This is all going exactly how those of us in public education told you it would. We were hearing these things within days of it passing AND we told you exactly what it would look like. Massive attack on public schools and grifting for the well off. It's not going to help kids in poverty - especially minorities.

Kind of applies but IA MAGA isn't trying to hide it...

Now do St. Paul, JFK, All Saints...

He thinks that someone like Fernando Zulueta, the CEO of Academia (the largest for-profit charter school system in the country), makes ~$180,000/year. His company serves ~80,000 students total. The largest school district in my state serves over 140,000 students.

Eva Moskowitz, former CEO of the then 46-school Success Academy network, received a pay package totaling $782,175...in 2016. It served fewer than 15,000 students at the time. My middle-sized district has 79 schools and over three times the number of students. Our superintendent just got a raise and isn't making half of what Moskowitz made in 2016.

Anne Williams-Isom, who replaced Goeffrey Canada as CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone (TWO charter schools), received total compensation of $734,299 in 2016. Canada, himself, got a $1M bonus the year after he stepped down. Yeah...district superintendents are ridiculously overpaid.

The DogBot is kind of an idiot.

I think we all know which schools we are talking about Lute;

Dowling, Xavier, Assumption, Regina, Wahlert, Heelan, Don Bosco....etc.

There is a poster on here who was in a high level position in Indiana I believe, but cannot recall his name. He oversaw the voucher program play out there. Anyone remember it? I believe he essentially predicted this would occur as he has seen it all play out. It will be interesting to see his take on this thread.

Wonder if some of the churches will build/upgrade/maintain dual use facilities. Must be nice to dip into multi revenue streams.
Did anybody doubt we'd see huge tuition increases from private schools? When COVID Kim was slobbering all over Betsy DeVos and all the special interest groups that were pumping big cash into her campaign so she'd support vouchers so they could grift a bunch of money from the state, all the Republicans bowed down to her. And voted for this thru her. The state of Iowa is just getting what they voted for. Simpletons most of them.

So they're better Catholics than these guys?

Corey DeAngelis the DeVos puppet has been busy there are at least 10 Red dumpster fire states that fell for this in 2023 alone.

Don't worry dogboy. All you have to do is put the information in tweet form and they'll swallow it hook line and sinker. Just look at the op. No asks for links for the op for some reason.
You do realize what the OP linked via tweet is all over the internet, right? What your boy dog stated is what he thinks which is why I asked him for a link.

Well now that you put it that way. As long as it's been shared by tons of like minded people then that changes everything.
