So ISU fans vote for the top 25? Please. Iowa State is clearly the superior team team and the entire country sees it other than ignorant hawk fans. You guys are idiots and it's laughable!
A 6-6 record and bowl invite is a great season for ISU.
A 6-6 season is pretty much considered a failure at Iowa.
That is why it is so comical to watch the delusional ISU fan base after their team wins a couple of games.
Why? So we can sit here and listen to how much better they are than us? It's kind of growing old.
It is rather interesting isn't it? I mean holy cow, they are acting as they are so much better than Iowa.
That's because we are relevant. And Iowa's relevant too...pretty much the same thing. No idea what you even mean with your statement, as every P5 team is relevant, and when they are having a good season that's moreso the case.

How about all the bowl victories? I believe there have been as many in their history as Ricky Stanzi has.
Nobody's seeking validation, just throwing the rediculous jealous posts about ISU back in the faces of the posters. Nearly every single Iowa opponent's fan Base laughs at the portion of the hawk fan base that consistently demonstrates delusion. There are certainly many reasonable hawk fans but they stay away because they are outnumbered dramatically here by the delusional.
Iowa State pays less than $2 million to go 6-6. Iowa pays over $5 million. Which one is delusional?

Iowa: 3 BCS bowls since 2002, winning one of them. Multiple top 10 final rankings. A bowl game almost every year. 2 conference, 1 division title. An undefeated conference record in 2002. Undefeated regular season in 2015.

Nobody thinks ISU is an elite power, but they are exceeding expectations, which is what you want in your teams.

As a Cyclone grad and fan, I am very happy with the #25 ranking. It is nice to be recognized nationally for having a good season (so far). It is nice to be discussed on Game Day. It would be amazing to have Game Day in Ames this week, but I'm not holding my breath.
But....
As a Cyclone fan, I remain cautiously optimistic. Of the 5 remaining games, I see 2 wins as unlikely (TCU and Ok State), 2 are tossups (WV and K State) and 1 is likely (Baylor). 7-5 is pretty realistic.
I think part of the culture change Campbell has brought is significant. None of us truly knows what goes on at practice, meetings, etc., but as a fan I'm sold. The mediocre win vs Akron was key. He wasnt happy because they didnt play well in spite of getting a road win. I loved it!
TCU game will be interesting. Top 25 match-up. I'm sure Jack Trice will be sold out and nuts. I'm making the trip over.

Someone's insecure lol. They're almost never good, so it is good to see them having a good year. When other universities in Iowa aren't playing us, I root for them. It's good to see schools in the state do good.
I doubt ISU is that much better than when we beat them. I thought they were a good team when we played. We also really should have beat the #2 team. Penn State had about a 30% chance of making that play at the end and Hooker could have easily blocked it if he used just one hand instead of two.
Penn St racked up 600 yds of offense and Iowa had less than half that. Iowa was fortunate to have a chance.
Iowa held the lead and still had a +70% chance to win on the last play of the game. I would say Penn State was fortunate to win, deserving but fortunate.
