*******Iowa vs UCLA Game Thread*******

Look at their schedule.

Doesn’t get much harder.

Records can be deceiving, I knew this would be difficult.
I just looked, and I don’t feel any better. Sure, four tough opponents, but they weren’t competitive in an any of those games. They also barely beat a bad Hawaii and lost at home to Minnesota.

They have played 3 top 10 teams and 1 top 15. I expected Iowa to win but I didn't expect it to be easy. I am absolutely shocked that they are running it on us. I am not surprised that we are struggling to run. I am not surprised that they are pressuring the QB. They are a chaos team defensively.

Defense has to play better. This is an awful rushing team. They average less than 3yds per rush and are over 6 yd per rush in this game.

They appear to be a damn good rushing team. There again... Playing 3 top 10 and a top 15 might have an impact on that. Throwing a lot to keep up with those teams and obviously all has pretty damn good defense.

We were happy to have this game start at 10am on Saturday. But if UCLA scores right away, the beach is more appealing as its 102 outside. Joy's of living abroad.

Yep

quick question: where does Iowa practice if they want to use a grass field.

Something seems wrong with Dakin. He’s having a difficult time kicking it 40 yds in warmup at half time

I would agree that the schedule has an affect but I don't think they are good at rushing. They were literally 133rd out of 133 teams in yds per rush coming into this game. They had 36 rush yds against Minnesota. They had 136 last week against Nebraska. They are averaging 4 yd more per rush than they have all season.
