I hate to say it but I just don't see Iowa beating Illinois at Illinois. I hope I'm wrong.

At this point Iowa has the unenviable advantage of having absolutely nothing to lose or prove...
We can still make the big ten tournament and possibly keep Illinois out of the NCAA Tournament. That's something to play for.
Plus, what the heck else do you have going on on a Tuesday night? Might as well roll into Champaign and ruin their week.
When you're playing for yourself there's always something to play for,.. spoiler is fun.
I actually agree. For some reason I feel Hawks will win.
Big talent mismatch, but Illannoy has grossly underachieved with the talent they have. Underwood is a lot better recruiter than he is a game coach, although they are having sickness issues. I didn't watch the Duke game, but assuming the big freshman PF with the girly hairdo (Johnson) didn't play, it would hurt Illannoy a lot on the boards and defending the other team's bigs.

From the players, to the head coach, to the staff, to the team managers, ...that is a team that has completely given up.
That $3M dollar roster just bought them the worst loss in the entire history of their program.

For those picking Iowa to win I hope you are right, but this is talentwise very much a mismatch for Iowa. But again, hope you are right.
Watch that talent suddenly gel against the Hokks. Happens all the time.
While it is true that our success at Champaign has been limited and we've lost the last four there, but two of them were two point games (One when Kris Murray missed a wide open corner three at the buzzer, and the other when Luka missed a jump shot at the end of the game) and another by 5, when we went into one of our infamous scoring droughts in the last 2:30 of the game.
The Illini fans on their forum I saw have had it with Underwood, which surprises me somewhat. He has had a fair amount of success over there. If we were to invade the STC and win the game, the Fire Underwood movement would ramp up considerably. Unfortunately, I'm afraid talent will out in this game and we come away with another loss.
As a side comment, I wish whoever moderates this board would try to do more to promote a forum where posters have common respect for those with a different opinion, without throwing the F word about. Remember what Ralph Emerson once said, "Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted."

Iowa is 3-16 at Illinois the last 25 years. I don't expect tomorrow to be win #4. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.

In the last 4 years, Underwood has won 2 BTT titles and a Big Ten regular season title, and took them to the elite eight.....he recruited 2 NBA lottery picks this year, ....and yeah there are plenty of Illinois fans talking about calling Beard before IU does. lol

Rumor is that he has been talking with Texas. Many Illini fans believe that is why he has looked checked out for the last 4-5 games.
I'm telling you...that program is in shambles right now. Ripe for the plucking. If we can come in and hit our first few shots and stay aggressive, they will fold just like they did against Northwestern, Nebraska, Rutgers, USC, Maryland, Michigan State (x2), Wisconsin, and Duke.
