Weather Underground has our low being 15° overnight. That should melt the snow before daylight.

I am in Blacksburg, VA for work and the low for tomorrow here is predicted to be 3. The flag outside my window tonight is standing straight out due to a brisk wind from the North. Sheesh.
We have around 6" right now. It's still snowing, but the flakes are smaller now.

Looks like Florida, except I can’t see the grass. I just saw a story saying the 130 (?) year old record of a 3” snowfall in state has been crushed. Awesome.My front yard.

I was working at the old Frischs on Tennessee Street in Tally one weekend when over 1” fell. Most I ever saw in Florida.
If this had fallen on a weekend I fer sure woulda taken the kids back to Niceville so they could have snow to play in (we're still just ice as of 10pm).
But even knowing we have tomorrow off, I wasn't going to mess with getting on the roads.
Get your sled out early... it's predicted to rise above freezing by 10 a.m. or so....

False. We were in Raleigh and Wendell yesterday. Roads had been pretreated with salt brine and there were MANY salt/plow trucks stationed at on ramps on I-40 waiting for a weather event.
BTW, Taco Bamba in Raleigh is terrific. I had the ceviche, a catfish taco, and a shroom taco. The flavors are exceptional.

I am unsure why in a country with so many delicious fish options, people intentionally eat catfish.

That would be my guess as well. We’re probably about 15 minutes from your brother closer to I-10.
