Is GameDay coming to Iowa for Minnesota game? (if they beat IU)

With the playoff ranking coming out tonight and Iowa likely in top 4-6.

With 40,000 likely coming for the Grapple on the Gridiron event.

Combined with the recent trashing of Iowa by ESPN (repeatedly), followed by the Iowa Nice Guy's rebuttal video, there is a lot of buzz on Iowa and this would be a huge event. Not only for Iowa but for ESPN.

Imagine the media and the SEC and even the lowly B12 meltdown!

What we need though, is for someone like BHGP's to take it and run with it. Hell, Indiana had ESPN seriously considering going to Bloomington earlier in the season and much of it was due to their bloggers putting the full court press on. Someone get after them to start promoting this!

Alabama vs. Mississippi State

Virtually no chance they'll be in Iowa City given Minnesota's record.

Bama/Mississippi St, Oklahoma/Baylor, and Houston/Memphis all play that day. I can't really see it, but it would be really cool.

While the Grapple on the Gridiron is pretty neat, I don't think a College Football Show would really give it that much attention

Almost zero chance of Gameday coming.

But maybe BTN studio guys live on campus, both to hype the football game but also the wrasslin' match. BTN has an incentive to hype both, while ESPN has no incentive for either.

For me I would love it if everyone in the big ten footorint stopped watching espn and their collection of hacks. Would like BTN to do a road show and no longer have espn at big ten games. That's just me tho.

I don't think it matters what channel the game is on. Gameday is in Alabama this weekend for their game vs LSU and they'll be playing on CBS.

Minnesota-Iowa simply isn't a competitive enough game for Game Day (in their eyes - I'm sure all Hawkeye fans are expecting the Gophers' best shot). I would hope that they would at least have a few look-ins at the mat in Kinnick though. I'm sure very few viewers will care about wrestling, but such a unique college sporting event has to be recognized.
