Fran can't recruit elite PGs to compete in the B1G, let's bring in a D-II/MVC transfer to help kickstart the program.

If Beth is worth her money she'll be able to sell a quality coach on the potential. That includes firing up donors, supporting businesses and the fan base. Any coach who can do that automatically will be viewed as a winner before they even put a team on the floor.
If you're a good coach who gets juiced by winning you find your next challenge in the view looking up, not down.

I think an imperative for any coach we hire will be to work with the Swarm to build the NIL program. The ideal candidate is someone who can win games AND raise money.

I think this has been in the works and they are going to move fast no matter who they have their sites on. Indiana has the Drake coach high on their list as well so he's sitting in a pretty good negotiating table. Interesting that someone must have stepped up booster wise to buy out Frans contract because it was till actually quite a bit. I think people may be surprised on the intrest in this job because the big ten in its revenue sharing your going to see more $ going into the sports and NIL. Plus now beth can we finally fix the seating at Carver now and get some excitement around the floor with students.

His philosophy wasn’t & isn’t designed for success in March.

You'd think an AD would always be cautious about a new coach with kids in position to play under him. That's always tricky to navigate. Almost a no-win.

I have no ill will towards Fran. Would have been surprised if he had been retained at this point. I never heard any vote of confidence coming from Beth. In fact it had been very quiet on that end. That usually means something is happening. I give Beth much respect for making a hard decision. More balls than what Barta had!
