Not even close. This guy was a complete ass hat.
That was my thought last night. It was like he wanted to go out in flames.
Absolutely no surprise there are shots fired by them on the way out. I expect more to come as well. Everything negative was always somebody else's fault according to them and they were quick to run to the twitters and make excuses. So over the whole family ✌️
This next coach we are getting needs to be fired.

Do I think Fran is a decent person? Probably, but I don't know.
There are 1000's of layoffs happening all the time where people that live paycheck to paycheck get told they are no longer needed---I'll reserve all my sympathy for those people. I can understand feeling a little sentimental, he had a decent run at times, but I have zero sympathy about him being let go. In fact, the classy thing for him would have to step up and volunteer to go for the good of the program or donate his buyout money to charity.
Tom Davis was an Iowa City lifer---now that parting of ways was a lot more sentimentally sad. He got a ceremony and kept ties to program. Fran and his family may be the types to go scorched earth. WE shall see.

I believe the firing could hurt our chances of landing Clark McCaffery, a promising PG in the class of 2055.
Hopefully Caitlin will wise up and get the hell away from that crazy family.
I like him, too, but he knows as well as anyone that’s the nature of his job. Feel worse for the players who will miss him.

What's clownish is not fixing your deficiencies. Defense and the weight room were Fran's biggest weaknesses.

It's only a problem if you stick your head in the sand and ignore all the eyeball and statistical evidence, as well as the science related to Fast twitch muscles vs slow twitch.
