Be like normal. Overachieve a bit, get the short stick-on officiating and have the Fran fade right before the tournament including the opening round of the tournament.

Iowa showed a ton of fight and heart. Probably opened a lot of eyes, including my own, in that first half.
We gave up 68 to North Dakota, 67 to Alabama St, and are about to let Creighton drop 100. Not sure what you see that is better defensively.
Pretty obvious our on the ball defenders are a lot better than normal

Bowen looks lost. He should have gotten more PT in the first half of last season. Dembele is better on D and boards than Pat already, which we need more of.

Bowen would be fantastic off the bench. Would give him confidence to do be the man on the second unit vs a facilitator. Harding needs to move to starting lineup asap

Lead the conference in scoring, have a shity defense, finish around 4-8th and get 1 win in the tournament.
Iowa will never be great or bad with Fran, it's always some level of goodish.
So if we randomly had an elite appearance mixed in the last 5 years of being a tourney team, would it feel different? I get it but just curious.

But my point in posting that was mostly making fun of the people who really think Iowa has mid major talent and is going to the NIT every single off season after losing their best player.
I said all off season this will be another standar Fran season. Don't expect it to be much better or worse than normal.
Pretty much just like football but more entertaining.
This is a tournament team. Way deeper than last year.
