What's the deal with Cade's lengthy concussion recovery? How often does it take a guy several weeks to be cleared? Seems pretty rare.
Sorry, but no.
You can’t objectively look at the line play this year and say they still suck.
Well in that situation is #1 allowed to change the play? Kind of stuff I would want to know. How much leeway does the QB have out there. We know the read option stuff the QB has the option keep the ball based on his read.
Says two things really - 1) teams/players historically don't have a good record of waiting until concussion symptons totally clear up and rush them back - See Tua for the best current example; 2) we don't honestly know how severe the concussion was, or if it was the first Cade has experienced in his career. What's the deal with Cade's lengthy concussion recovery? I still can't get used to the whole offense standing up and looking to the sideline to get a new call.Doesn't Lester radio down play changes to the QB's headset and then the QB changes the play?
IT USED TO BE that the QB was in charge of reading the defense & changing the play
Now, I don't know....

I do wonder when or if the communication to the helmet is cut off during plays. Never really heard the question asked.Doesn't Lester radio down play changes to the QB's headset and then the QB changes the play?

I believe it shuts of at 15 seconds on the play clock.I do wonder when or if the communication to the helmet is cut off during plays. Never really heard the question asked.

I'm 100% in the Cade only plays if he is the last guy standing camp. I don't like his height, his lack of speed or even the way he grips the football. There is nothing positive I can say about him in regards to what he could bring to the Iowa offense.

Yep, might as well try and improve guys who will be here next year.and we only have 3 games left so might as well turn the page and tell Sully that this is his job to win or lose.

Good grief this idea parroted by some that "they" need to teach Sully how to slide or go out of bounds on the end of a run as if "they" haven't is ludicrous. Sully knows darn well he should be doing that. He panicked when the rush came and ran it when he should have scrambled and found a receiver or thrown it OOB.
Depends. I played rugby in college and had one concussion; took me six weeks until I passed the tests and was allowed to play/practice/strength and condition. What's the deal with Cade's lengthy concussion recovery? How often does it take a guy several weeks to be cleared? Seems pretty rare.
I agree. In that vein, sit Higgins, Jackson, Harris and half the OL and DL. THAT will show how things are done right!Cade, a gimpy, slow, 6th-year senior could start next game? WHY?
If he and Sullivan are healthy, Sullivan should start without question. If neither is healthy, Stratton will be ready to go by then. Hell, he did a great job @ UCLA, making two amazing third-down throws and leading Iowa to a touchdown.
Cade should be on the shelf the rest of the way UNLESS every other QB is injured. Period. I mean, what the hell would be the upside of starting McNamara?
C'mon, guys, it was Kirk. Doing it wrong AGAIN!Was it Lester that was continuously trying to ram KJ or was it Sullivan not making the right reads in the RPO?
Hope it doesnt.hurt his class work. What's the deal with Cade's lengthy concussion recovery? How often does it take a guy several weeks to be cleared? Seems pretty rare.
Let 'er rip. Who is backup if Cade can't go?is Stratton QB1 the rest of the season now?
That's a good question. I think it depends on how bad Sully's ankle/ injury is and Cades concussion is. A healthy Sully/ Cade probably starts. If not then Stratton.is Stratton QB1 the rest of the season now?

If we could win games with Deacon Hill, we should be able to suit up a couple HS QB's out of the stands and be OK.
Stratton is the choice now.
Cade should be emergency only QB if he is cleared.
Protect Cade...only one brain...no need to risk a long life ahead.

I agree with Cade as last option as long as Stratton can run enough plays. He’s only been back getting reps in the Iowa playbook for two weeks. It’s down to just those two guys now.I'm 100% in the Cade only plays if he is the last guy standing camp. I don't like his height, his lack of speed or even the way he grips the football. cade looks good to go from reportsWhat is really interesting is if both Cade and Sully are out what happens if Stratton goes down?
Don’t they have a freshman on the roster? Get the guy some reps. What is really interesting is if both Cade and Sully are out what happens if Stratton goes down?
And he is the one I want in there against the Holios on Black Friday.cade looks good to go from reports
Can't take your eyes off the impending wreck.I don't wanna know!
Resar? That's a big fat NO. Lester saw him practice for 12 minutes in the fall and moved him to WR. Yet another QB recruiting gem by Kirk and Brian.Don’t they have a freshman on the roster? Get the guy some reps.
