Note to Jess Settles:
Iowa's Johnny Johnson, in 1970 lead the Hawkeyes with a 27.9 per game scoring clip.
That year, the Iowa Hawkeyes won the Big Ten championship and played well in the
NCAA tourney, losing to Jacksonville in the Sweet 16, I believe.
Johnny Johnson, from Milwaukee, sometimes called JJ.......was the 7th pick in the NBA draft
He played 12 years in the NBA, including one year with the World Champion Seattle Supersonics, along with
Hawkeye teammate, Fred Brown.
Jess wanted to call him Juwan Johnson, yesterday and then his sidekick did, also.
John Johnson deserves better remembrance than that.
