Yet J's DOB was redacted!
Only his knickers know for sure.might still be able to identify him... do they say what century he was born in?
Okay, since it's no secret that I'm lazy when it comes to things like this, and since the birth dates wouldn't be RUMORS, can you just tell me right now whose names are associated with those birth dates?Well 5 of them are real easy to figure out based on their birth dates. The Gopher wrestling site listed all the birth dates and recently removed them, but you can still see them in cache view.

Okay, not sure how old dirt is, but he's older than that. I haven't heard anything to dispute a couple of the names that I believe Marion threw out... so would I be correct to say Lizak and Thorn are two of the culprits?Let's get the list started:
JRob - 19th century
So the secrecy of the vanishing PBS has now been solved? All this joking about a potential transfer when we were giving him shit and it might turn out we were right? Absolutely PRICELESS!Both of their birthdates matched the ones listed in the police report.
9/19/95 matches Jack Bass who xferred to ODU at xmas break
1/22/97 matches Early
10/4/95 matches Lizak
9/12/95 matches Thorn
9/26/95 matches Krone
It's nothing to celebrate. Let's give him some space. I'm sure this is difficult enough for the families involved. So the secrecy of the vanishing PBS has now been solved? I am proud of how Hawkeye fans have taken the high road in this situation. That would not be the case if the roles were reversed. It's nothing to celebrate. Let's give him some space. I'm sure this is difficult enough for the families involved.
Agreed IA fans have been rather cordial.
I bet 2plus2 is real proud of his first post ever.
I'm not going to blame a program or school for kids deciding to commit illegal acts. What I will blame is a program or school covering up for illegal behavior. As I read the police report, J performed a classic coverup to protect himself and the program at the expense of the student body at large and the university. Not enough hard evidence to charge him with a crime because he threw it away, but if you read all the statements, he committed a crime of poor judgement and poor ethics in my eyes. The sad part is that these young men were likely all raised in a home with caring family members. It's too bad they got involved in a program that either ignored curious behavior or looked the other way.

Ever heard the saying"People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"?I'm not going to blame a program or school for kids deciding to commit illegal acts. I also suspected that. However, doesn't that seem a little cowardly?i'm sure it was a regular, didn't want to do it on his everyday handle.

Ever hear the saying, "no shit sherlock?" I know exactly what I meant to say, and coming from a PSU fan should actually carry more weight, not less. Baylor, PSU, Minnesota. Different crimes, but all involved coverups. That was my point.Ever heard the saying"People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"?
You had one of the biggest "coverups"in history.Ever hear the saying, "no shit sherlock?" I know exactly what I meant to say, and coming from a PSU fan should actually carry more weight, not less. Baylor, PSU, Minnesota. Different crimes, but all involved coverups. That was my point.
Exactly. To answer your question, I have said that if J performed a coverup, he should be fired. I also believe PSU admin was guilty of a coverup. Right and wrong doesn't wear school colors. If there is a group that should know the difference it would be any group associated with Penn State. Does your 'placing blame' come with any repercussions?
Actually no. The crime was the worst in history. The coverup only involved 2-3 people. The outrage was appropriate nevertheless. The coverup at Baylor was much, much worse for somewhat lesser crimes. If indeed one can call rape a lesser crime to anything. Child rape might be one.You had one of the biggest "coverups"in history.
No hostility just questioning why you are hammering Minnesota(Idont like them either)?Actually no. The crime was the worst in history. The coverup only involved 2-3 people. We aren't really in that much disagreement, so no need for hostility.
I am not hammering Minnesota, but the coach. I don't think the university knew of the dealing. I guess we'll find out soon enough. I don't have any hate for Minnesota or Iowa or any other team (other than ND in football). No hostility just questioning why you are hammering Minnesota(Idont like them either)?

PBS has always been a great sport and, unlike a lot of parents who come on these boards, refrains from the petty and does not try and make convoluted statement to try and prop his kid up. In fact he pretty much stays away from talking about his kid and provides a lot of good insight in to IL wrestlers, which I find very educational.Wasn't it April Fools day he joked about his son xferring to Iowa to train with metcalf? So may turn out it wasn't completely an April fools.

Yep. But it's the internet and a message board, so in the immortal words of the great Tony Soprano "what the F ya gonna do"!I also suspected that. However, doesn't that seem a little cowardly?
