Played over their heads for a time and made people think they were a lot better then they were. But when they couldn't keep it up and NO ONE CAN for long, they came back to earth.

Still a fine season and we might yet make some noise in the NCAA. But we were NEVER a top 10 team as regards talent. Our experience helps in a lot of games but when playing better teams that are on their game we will usually lose.

Still we had some good times. Treasure them. Don't get nasty with the kids who frankly have accomplished more then some teams with a fair amount better talent.

12-0 regular season. Iowas first loss was in the big tene championship game. Iowa basketball started really struggling in the middle of big ten play.

If football had lost to Minny, PU, and Neb and missed CCG then you can make that argument. Don't lump football in with this. football ran into superior competition and finally lost. Basketball is losing to all levels now. Bout time Kirk writes Fran another letter of encouragement- worked in December
