Perhaps you aren't aware but we've done it before. To be more accurate, we've exiled citizens before. That word doesn't get used any more, and it's actually a stronger term, but it's close enough.

They are "leaders" afterall. For as BAD as Trump is, a lot of people dislike the policies of Democrats enough to still vote for him. And MANY others were still going to vote for Biden and are now voting for Kamala.... While holding their noses, cause they are FAR from the best option for pres.

I watched a program on MSNBC last night where they interviewed a room of union members in Saginaw, MI. The interviewer posed appropriate questions in a manner to seek usable information.
She asked several general questions you would expect to get an idea of sentiment. It was shocking how few people knew anything of current events. Major news events. Jan 6 for example. The issue of abortion seemed not to register with a couple of women. Like it was never an issue to consider. Few examples should not be considered representative but a room full of people with relationships living in commonality is enough to draw cursory conclusions.
It would seem news would seep into the union universe at some point. One member chastised the others for not being aware of the CHIPS act. One interviewed took the immigrant taking American jobs argument. But it was unreal how few of them were informed, although at this late they were not prepared to make decisions on voting until becoming better "educated" on the candidates.
Personally, I'm aware how the general public is non-informed, and more importantly misinformed (as replacement for actual information) which this interview would not reveal.

I feel somewhat confident that Harris will prevail but if she doesn’t then I and mine will survive and be fine. But I’ll freely admit that I will enjoy the copious amounts of schadenfreude that will rain down as Trump grafts and grifts for the richest while he pinches the poorest among us. He’s a disaster and his lower middle class MAGA lovers will suffer because of it. And I’ll be handing out buckets of I told you so and that’s a shame. They’re going to reap what they sow and they’ll deserve every bit of the misery that’s coming.

Harris has had 4 years to fix the problems we face. Sher has done nothing but exacerbate them. The Biden Harris administration has been a failure by every measure that most voters care about. She has been the most forgettable VP in history.
Not only that but Kamala is the emptiest suit, the most vacuous and frankly dumbest Presidential candidate in my lifetime.
The ONLY reason she is where she is at is because of the aligning of the planets. She's black, chosen by our demented current President that was knifed in the back to make room for the VP, who won zero votes in any Presidential primary, now finds herself anointed because of all those things prior. No chance, if given the normal process, she would be the candidate right now.
Lets see what happens in November. I wouldn't rule out a Trump win quite yet.
