Here’s my issue. Would Val Demings be anywhere close to the conversation about serious presidential candidates? Not for me.
I think many are looking at Biden’s VP choice as though they are choosing his successor to take over sometime in the next four years. Demings doesn’t make the cut, IMO.
Harris scares people. See Trad and IFBnBB. California is already in the bag so that angle is out. Could Demmings secure Florida? That might be the thinking.

Honestly, Joe's VP pick is the deal breaker for me. Joe isn't a crazy liberal... he's fairly moderate. I'd rather have him as the president than Trump. But if he picks an over-the-top socialist for his veep, he's not going to get my vote.
I think she cooked her VP goose back then...I can see her as a SC nominee or AG, though. Placing her on the SC would be a longer lasting gift Biden can give to his friends across the aisle.
Agree she’s not very likeable and like it or it it matters. If the intention is to steal votes or be the next President when Joe is no longer fit I don’t think she’s going to win the moderates.
She’s not charming, but she is fairly moderate. She doesn’t bring any important coalition with her. CA is in the bag and not even black people like her. Seems like a wasted pick. However, I would feel confident in her leadership if she was thrust into service.
