We could use a little more depth.

Ferentz said running back is one position where he’d be comfortable bringing in a summer transfer with the goal of getting him ready to play heavily in the fall.

“I think it’s a position where they have a better chance, better opportunity to get a grip on things. That and probably receiver,” Ferentz said. “When you look around, there’s a lot of grad transfers moving around. It’s amazing. It’s kind of become a new phenomenon if you will.

“And we’ll keep an ear to the ground, but nothing firm at this point.”

This tells me there is probably some mutual interest out there, I doubt Kirk would simply be fishing around at this point. That said, would be nice to have another option back there to complement IKM, Young, Harrell and Geil.

I dont know that there is a sight or a way of tracking available grad transfers, with grad transfers and transfer eligible due to coaching changes I would bet we have that soon.

In my fantasy world, Piershbacher becomes our left guard, Lodge leaves Mississippi and is our #1 WR, and the Warmack kid from KSU joins the backfield.

No idea if they're even eligible to transfer and play. Lol

Possibly, seems awful small to be an Effective Big Ten back, especially after all the complaining the coaching staff did about wadley's weight. Lol
Wadley's weight and unwillingness to pass block killed him in the draft. He was electric in the open field and ran hard...but those two factors didn't help him out.

I thought we all agreed his name was never to be mentioned on here again?

So, have I missed something, or isn't Iowa still 2 schollies too heavy?

I read more closely...

For the record, 8th hand info from someone who "might be" in the know was that the name I'm not to mention (were you serious?...haven't been on here regularly in a while) was encouraged to go pro after this past year as the competition is stiff at UA and his position would be challenged. No clue if accurate, but it fed my hope that maybe he'd look elsewhere.

University of Alaska?

Seriously, though, wth is UA?

What does that say to the current RBs unless they are the ones transferring?

It says they are lacking moderate to extensive in game experience. Main concerns are unproven ball security and injury concerns. Kyshaun Bryan and Cam Harrell also unproven. Depth is a real concern.

Okay. No one calls it that, but okay.

To be fair, I am not sure I hear a lot of people call it that either, but that is what it is, and I was simply trying to type quickly while cooking and doing a couple other tasks...it's an abbreviation. I'm not sure it's worthy of a contentious "what the hell"... know what I'm saying? If you see it differently, count to ten, man...go for a walk...take deep breaths and recalibrate your life. You're better than this, man. What difference does it make if no one calls it that, and who the hell are to decide it? You would have to be seeking something to question with intentionality to pull that out of the post. That's one reason I don't pay for this site anymore. It's honestly too often a pissing match about inconsequential things. Love the Hawks. Love what Tom, Blair, and Co. offer, but I don't even bother to read it during the season aside from recruiting updates. I thought I would give it another shot a few weeks ago or so and started posting. Thanks for the encouragement.

I wasn't angry or being snarky, dude. I was being sincere. There's no tone on here, you know?

With Romeo McKnight leaving, Iowa is at 86 now, so they need to be down 1 more prior to starting fall camp. Just guessing but Nate Veyonda (sp?) TE, might be a candidate with at least 4/5 other TE's ahead of him (Cook, Fant, Beyer, Hockesen, Wieting)
