You are taking what pundits are saying a little to personally for how the team you cheered for this season (which isn’t ‘we’) is described.
Dis ESPN share Michigan only had 213 yd of offense? That was kind of cool, right?
Michigan got 27 yards more passing and 31 yards more rushing than Iowa tonight.
Partly because a special teams letdown and a clown officiating crew gifted Cheat-agin short field position.
Our offense fumbling in their territory might have had a little to do with that.
You can’t get yards when the yards are literally not there to get.
That being said, yes, the defense was stout. But Mich played conservative offensively b/c we put zero pressure on them. 0 points and unable to move the ball doesn’t scare anyone.
Regardless of what the talking heads say I thought Iowa acquitted themselves quite nicely, in a way.
Everyone and the Pope knew Iowa's O was terrible. Can't get much worse than last after all. But of course ... THAT D. Played probably better than advertised last night. Bested Michigan's vaunted D, imo.

Iowa showed itself well last night because everyone saw, again, that Phil has saved Kirk over and over.
The defense stood out. You could almost feel like people were rooting for Iowa because they are so handicapped by the offense.
What is embarrassing for Iowa are the fans claiming the refs won the game for Michigan.
You could make that point if Iowa actually scored one.
When your offense is so bad, and every game comes down to defensive scores, special teams, and luck……every flag thrown feels like a conspiracy against Iowa. Iowa cannot afford ANY negative plays.
That fumble call wasn’t the worst one. The non roughing passer was killer. MAYBE Iowa gets a FG if that is called. But we’d probably take a sack, fumble, or do something really stupid.
But Iowa was never going to win this game. It was over at 3-0
