Don't forget Gabe Arnold and world champion Ben Kueter!Let me introduce you to Cody Chittum!
Me thinks TacoYota is another one of those January through March PSU wrestling fans, so he probably doesn't follow recruiting lol.

He's either a lame troll or had a failed lobotomy based on his typing style, either way I'll never understand how these accounts make it more than 5 posts before they are banned on here.Don't forget Gabe Arnold and world champion Ben Kueter!

Sorry; I meant that we often measure things off a final, April of their senior year, p4p ranking, but most recruits are signed in November before their senior season is wrestled. Many verbally commit during their junior year. Accordingly, I think a comparison of recruits based on when they are actually signing their NLI would be better. Do some coaches have a better eye than others at evaluating wrestlers prior to their senior year wrestling season when they are signing? You're right. RBY was all the way down at #12 on Flo's 2018 big board, right behind Michael Beard at #11. Also, are you really trying to position an argument around PSU making these kids better from the time they committed to the end of their senior HS season? LOL

That is probably the most successfull, top to bottom, top 12 of ANY year. Other than Joey Silva, you have 11 guys that almost certainly will be multiple AA's. You then have 7 championships and 2 3rds between Steveson, Brooks, Carr and RBY. Incredible group. The top 5 ranked guys have ALL been Finalists at least 1 time, with all 5 favored(if Gable wrestled) to make it again this year and 3 of them have 2 more chances! You're right. Wow, definitely looked like a TD. Not a huge Askren fan but have to agree with him, how is that not a TD.
I had the exact same thoughts when I pulled the list up, but was just too lazy to take the time to break it all down. I wonder how other recent classes stack up.That is probably the most successfull, top to bottom, top 12 of ANY year. Steveson 3,1,1 and had another undefeated season destroyed by Covid. Oh, and an Olympic Champ!
Brooks 1,1,?,?
Parris R12,2,5,? Oh and a Junior World Champ.
Sasso 2,5,?,?
Carr 1,3,?,?
Wittlake 4,inj,?,?
Silva Went to Michigan and apparently the school part of DI wasn't for him.
Teemer 4,6,inj,?,?
Hardy ?,?,?,? Should be a top 3 seed with this being his first season attached.
Hoffman DNP, 6,?,?
Beard 7, DNP(behind Dean),?,?,?
RBY 8,1,1,?
I understand what you're trying to get at, but when you're signing 3+ top P4P wrestlers per class, you're bound to hit on a few elite guys.Sorry; I meant that we often measure things off a final, April of their senior year, p4p ranking, but most recruits are signed in November before their senior season is wrestled. The kid is a stud but I definitely don't see "freaking dynamo" at allAny Hawkeye fan that doesn’t recognize or acknowledge that Haines is an incredible talent and very much a NCAA champ threat, right now, is either a moran or purposely obtuse. Kid is a freaking dynamo.
Their final ranking is all that matters.I wonder where some of these p4p rankings are coming from. Someone posted RBY was top 10. I don’t think so. And while Levi ended up #7, he was outside the top 10 when he committed as a junior. He moved up as he worked with David Taylor & Co his senior year. Starocci was another late climber, only making the top 10 in the final rankings.
Instead of a comparison of where these recruits ended up on the Big Board after their senior year seasons were complete, it would be interesting to see where they ranked when committing.
Yep...Teske and Warner got stalled...right to their backs.RBY, Dean, Kerk are stall riders…blatant
Of the six guys you listed whose careers are over, three were AAs (one of them twice) and two more were R12 including one who tore his knee wrestling to be an AA in the NCAA quarterfinals. A couple “wrestled” with significant injuries throughout their careers. Not a bad showing, IMO.I understand what you're trying to get at, but when you're signing 3+ top P4P wrestlers per class, you're bound to hit on a few elite guys.
You also could end up with guys like Jimmy Gulibon, the Alton twins, Nick Nevills, Mason Manville, Brady Berge, etc. It's looking like we can add Robert Howard and Beau Bartlett to this list as well.
Didn't Dean beat Warner 3-1??? So, you are going to use 1 match where Warner obviously gassed and semi gave up the last 30 seconds to act like Dean is a riding machine?Yep...Teske and Warner got stalled...right to their backs.
Simple question, did Teske and Warner get stalled to their back?Didn't Dean beat Warner 3-1??? So, you are going to use 1 match where Warner obviously gassed and semi gave up the last 30 seconds to act like Dean is a riding machine?
Look, RBY and Dean are super talented and can turn people. However, a large portion of their riding is parallell with a LOT of sitting on the ankle. It is very effective and, under the current rule set, very rarely will be called stalling. But, get off your high horse. What they do is no different than Cass with the double thigh pry or Warner with spiral rides and a bunch of mat returns.
Against the better opponents, they are clock eaters that wear the opponent down, keep them from having a chance to score against you and earn a riding time point.
I do…. Hope I’m wrong. The kid is a stud but I definitely don't see "freaking dynamo" at all
Let me answer your question with a question.Simple question, did Teske and Warner get stalled to their back?
No I’ve got Long, Treigning Lab, Beard, New Money Nittany Yankees, Alton’s, Howard, you living in your mom’s basement, your buddy Micropenio, should I go on?You know psu is in your head when that’s always the comeback from you fellas…..is Sandusky the only thing you got…..it’s weak
Tell that to the dick that said Iowa fans have nothing to look forward to after Spencer graduates. Reel in your own assholes and maybe ours won’t show up so frequently. It’s not hard to see why Penn st fans are so well liked here. It's pretty simple minded of an insult and as I've said, it's struck close to home for me. I prefer to talk wrestling and enjoy some back and forth.
Let me answer your question with a statement. I chopped down the largest tree in the forest with...a herring.Let me answer your question with a question.
Do you always use red herrings to respond to a larger point?
Jacob Warner often uses what I would consider a "stall ride". However, he made it into the NCAA Finals by getting 4 nearfall on Buchanan. You CAN turn people and STILL stall ride.
Just because he is your guy, doesn't mean you can't be honest if it sometimes is negative....
You know psu is in your head when that’s always the comeback from you fellas…..is Sandusky the only thing you got…..it’s weak
I don't even know the guy, he's not my guy or my responsibility. And I've seen similar on how PSU was going to drop back after Taylor, or the next guy etc etc. But who cares? Any time you lose a big contributor it will hurt, especially if it was a shoe in for an individual title. Try responding to him with something substantial like Iowa's incoming recruits or the next guy up at 125.Tell that to the dick that said Iowa fans have nothing to look forward to after Spencer graduates. How many times did the herring stall out?Let me answer your question with a statement. I chopped down the largest tree in the forest with...a herring.
We do, and that's usually the point where the PSU poster disappears only to show back up spewing the same BS in a new thread a day later.I don't even know the guy, he's not my guy or my responsibility. I guess we will see huhLet me introduce you to Cody Chittum!
Wow you are reaching…..don’t worry…..you guys should still get a trophy next weekNo I’ve got Long, Treigning Lab, Beard, New Money Nittany Yankees, Alton’s, Howard, you living in your mom’s basement, your buddy Micropenio, should I go on?
You sure think a lot of yourself.Let me answer your question with a statement. I chopped down the largest tree in the forest with...a herring.
But you seemed so sure of yourself and your idiotic take earlier, why change the tone now? It's all coming to an end for Iowa wrestling after next week, right?I guess we will see huh
PDon't forget Gabe Arnold and world champion Ben Kueter!

i follow More than you know…..but it’s cool…….how committed do you think Keuter is going to be to wrestling when he’s also in the football team which will go through December/January? Honest question.Don't forget Gabe Arnold and world champion Ben Kueter!

Coming from a psu fan…..I think it was 2 for Rob…….but I’m just a casual fan apparently, so what do I know?Wow, definitely looked like a TD. Not a huge Askren fan but have to agree with him, how is that not a TD.
Its kind of like psu will be done when Ruth and Taylor graduate…….many on here have quoted thatBut you seemed so sure of yourself and your idiotic take earlier, why change the tone now? It's all coming to an end for Iowa wrestling after next week, right?
I have zero information on the situation, but I believe BK will be more involved with the wrestling team in his first year on campus, as I think we will RS in football. However, with Cass coming back, he obviously won't be wrestling varsity in 2023-24 barring injury.P

I don’t think he would consider you “his buddy”…but that’s an argument for another day.No I’ve got Long, Treigning Lab, Beard, New Money Nittany Yankees, Alton’s, Howard, you living in your mom’s basement, your buddy Micropenio, should I go on?
Hey…regarding the rule with reaction time…if you slow that down enough, Robb had control on the mat before he went OOB for like 10 or 20 seconds…maybe minutes even!
In Haines' case, he spent his senior year at NLWC, so definitely yes.Are you really trying to position an argument around PSU making these kids better from the time they committed to the end of their senior HS season? LOL
@bourbon n blues here's another oneHey…regarding the rule with reaction time…if you slow that down enough, Robb had control on the mat before he went OOB for like 10 or 20 seconds…maybe minutes even!
Haines committed to PSU in May 2021, AFTER he had already made the cadet world team.In Haines' case, he spent his senior year at NLWC, so definitely yes.
I kept thinking he was the second coming of Nolf myself…… Kid’s really good at wrestlingHaines reminds me of a young Dake in terms of his elite defense. If you score on him, better get a picture.
