Little brother not so little anymore?

Sure it will change over time, but let's look at ISU's schedule:
UNI, Iowa, Toledo
Kansas, Texas Tech

Certainly not a gauntlet, and comparable to Iowas: ISU, Ill. St., North Texas and Pitt, Wisconsin. Both have an upper FCS (whoopee) a Mac, rival, two P5 schools. I'd say Iowa has the edge with Wisconsin.

But then ISU hits TCU and Baylor. Going off of last year, those are two top 10s, whereas Iowa hits Illinois and Northwestern.

Big 12s remainder, imo, is completely up in the air. They could be mediocre-to-bad again (Texas, Ok St, W Virg), or good (Ok., K St.) or they could far surpass expectations (see Ok/Texas).

Iowa's is basically a dud, unless you are a midwestern football fan. Unless things vastly outperform last year, it is obvious that ISU's schedule is much "harder".

But, it is tied inextricably to TCU and Baylor. If TCU drops back to 7-win territory, and Baylor stumbles a few times, it drastically reduces their SOS. Obviously.
I think there is a difference that goes beyond TCU and Baylor. Except for Kansas, ISU doesn't play an opponent that is likely to have a losing season.

What really puts it into perspective, though, is your comment about the first five games on the two schedules being comparable. A person could quibble, but I think that's a reasonable evaluation. However, after the first five games ISU's schedule gets significantly tougher while Iowa's gets weaker.

Not by much. Your season hinges on TCU/Baylor, as I said. Even if Oklahoma becomes normal 10 win Oklahoma, that means knocking off Ok St and the Texas schools. TCU/Bay make your season.

Iowa's opponents, like ISU's beyond those two are too up in the air, imo, to really know right now. Minny could win ten, so could Texas, ditto for Neb and Oklahoma.

But it seems that you think ISU's first five are tougher than Iowa's, and I have no clue how you could think that, unless you give Iowa a lot of credit (and ISU none).

And nobody has taken the time to realize that we're now on the 9th page and this thread has devolved into arguing about nothing. Well done, everyone.

it's what jwr, jeff, 100 89,99,109, does

Someday I hope to be just like all the fine upstanding clone fans that make cyclone fanatic so awesome. They are the isu fan base.

But LC will tell us how it really is I'm sure.

Hey, wait a minute. I don't respond to 100, but when his threads start to lag, I have been known to inject a comment to keep them going.

Like this one.

We get why you don't respond Mike. Most isu fans can't handle trying to defend all the ways isu, its fans, coaches, players, AD, professors, donors, web site owner/operators act. The mountain of evidence is just to massive to combat so you ignore. In fact anyone who points it out is now considered by you to be a "wacko". "It's not fair" Seems to be a common theme in the isu athletic department. Which game will Jaime or Paul go on their next rampage?

Keep up the great work though LC. As always your posts are most entertaining.

And clones fans keep throwing gas on the fire and keep engaging with this annoying clown.

They just can't help it. At the core of isu is a deep rooted case of little brother syndrome. It will never change. Watching them try and justify it is highly entertaining.

What they can't seem to grasp is that each time they post they prove my assertions correct. If it wasn't so much fun I probably wouldn't do it.

Maybe we can count any tickets sold as season ticket sales. No wait we can set up a thermometer to show just how great our discounted ticket program is going. No, no, no we can put up a billboard proclaiming how this makes it a Hawkeye State.

Pollard loves to show off his little brother syndrome and clone fans eat it up and demand more.
Dose up time again! Get after it!

I was in Ames for the first time in a long time and I drove by Jack Trice. It's much more impressive than it used to be.
Should we be worried? They already beat us regularly as it is.
The picture provided isn't nearly as impressive as it is in person. The glass in front is being done now. It's looks good, unfortunately.

Early estimates indicate ISU on pace to have 7th straight year of record enrollment. Also will still be largest institution in state.

Greatest institution on earth? You guessed it, University of Phoenix. They've got scoreboard on everybody, at least that is my guess.

In related news, India is 1000x better than the United States in everything. Second only to China, who is even better at all of those things.

When will enrollment equate to isu being a better institution? Give us the quote from isu regarding how far they have to look up to Iowa in the U.S. news & World Report rankings.

I win again.

How many years has it been since that isu could afford Baseball? There has to be a quote from little bro Jamie on that.

Pollard's little bro syndrome came out when he screams "It's Not Fair" after isu got punked last year by Okie State.

Quote please I4. Or was the $50k well spent?
