Sad to hear. I loved listening to him when I was growing up with Hawkeye basketball. I don't think I have ever come across a disparaging word about him.

I didn't know he was sick. RIP, and condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear this. I grew up watching Hawkeye games with Larry and Mac calling the action late 80s through the 90s and 2000's. Always missed those guys since the BTN took over. Mac was an excellent anaylst.

that was essentially my childhood two nights a week during the winter.
