Not sure about winning, but for sure they’d have to get to Saturday at minimum. If they split the next four, they have to win the BTT to get in.
Just glad we’re still able to have the conversation.

Sounds about right to me. That scenario, splitting the remaining 4 and then getting to Saturday in the BTT, gets them to 20 wins if I'm not mistaken. I think they'd have a fair shot if they can do that. Not sure about winning, but for sure they’d have to get to Saturday at minimum.

It used to be if a team had 20 wins, they would be in. Not so much anymore. Iowa's inconsistencies throughout the season and the bad loses will really hurt them.Sounds about right to me. Agreed, a week or two ago, I didn't think we'd even be having this discussion. Nothing like getting a couple of big wins to help change the complexion of the season.

Iowa has 1 quad 3 loss. No quad 4 losses. They don't have as many "bad" losses as you might think. They just need more quad 1 wins. I think the committee will look at how they lost those games. Michigan, Penn St and both Maryland games are bad losses no matter what the metrics say.Iowa has 1 quad 3 loss. No quad 4 losses. Iowa could go from 0 to 3 Quad 1 wins in 6 days ... last night's W in East Lansing moved the Hawkeyes from #67 to #62 in NET, and Minnesota is now at #76 -- one spot away from being in the top 75 which would add an Iowa Q1 road win. Gophers host Ohio State on Thursday.
Per Dochterman, Iowa could pick up a Quad 1 win tomorrow if Minnesota wins, so that’ll help as well.
All bubble teams have inconsistencies and "bad losses" on their resumes. If they didn't, they wouldn't be bubble teams.I think the committee will look at how they lost those games. Michigan, Penn St and both Maryland games are bad losses no matter what the metrics say.
IF Minnesota could become quad 1 (and stay there), and IF Iowa could pick up another 2-3 Q1 wins these last 4 games and in the BTT, they could suddenly have 5-6 quad 1 wins, and all of the sudden their resume looks a lot better.Great points. The Iowa win at #76 NET Minnesota is currently just outside Quad 1: Home (1-30), Neutral (1-50), Away (1-75).
Our 2 Quad 1 wins as of now:
#21 NET Wisconsin
at #24 NET Michigan State
The Mountain West typically receives only one bid, maybe two. This year they're looking at 4 teams in the dance. This is going to hurt some major conference bubble teams.
Maybe he gave them a Pro tip as well? Ahhh.I like Connor. Hope he can help them with his experience in that huddle over the last few years before he has to head back to Indy. If Iowa could just taken care of the Maryland games and PSU road loss like they did last night, this team would only be looking at that one bad loss to Michigan to start the season and a much better chance to be in the tourney. Finish strong guys. Beat the cryin Illini twice!
Next game at Illannoy is probably the toughest remaining. I'm not sure how we stop Shannon, but you gotta go in thinking you can win. NW lost one their starters (Ty Berry) a couple of weeks ago, but they are really tough at home. If Dix can keep Boo Buie from going off, that is winnable. We need at least one of those two, and take care of business at home, which includes a rematch with Illannoy...Lunardi currently has the Mountain West with 6 bids
Iowa's SOS should rocket up with 3 of the last 4 against Quad 1 opponents.
yeah, beating Illinois at home is gonna be tough, tooNext game at Illannoy is probably the toughest remaining. I'm not sure how we stop Shannon, but you gotta go in thinking you can win. Well, it has been All-Star break, and he probably just spent time with the family. It does kinda make you wonder, doesn't it?its interesting that Connor was in on the meeting
I have noticed Connor being at a lot of the Women's games and was wondering if he was still with the Pacers. I heard he is actually able to work from home for them. It sounded like he breaks down tape and sends it back to them.Well, it has been All-Star break, and he probably just spent time with the family. It does kinda make you wonder, doesn't it?
Terrence Shannon is really fast
Beat Illinois and we are on the bubble.Long ass way to go to even get hopes up. They have to beat a couple of the top teams in the conference to even get a sniff.
Beat Illinois and we are on the bubble.
They've played themselves back into it, now they gotta take advantage
Tim Krueger has Iowa in his "Next 4 out" today.
As far as I know, he is still on the Pacers staff. Yeah, I believe he is doing the tape thing as well as maybe helping with scouting perhaps.
