Iowa is still the 10th team OUT.

#74 NET Minnesota lost by 18 pts at #43 Nebraska.

It will be interesting to see if the win at Minnesota stays a Quad 1 win.

Quad 1: Home (1-30), Neutral (1-50), Away (1-75)

I'd love to see Iowa make the field of 64, but the reality is, Iowa blew second half leads late in games against Maryland twice, at Indiana, at Illinois, and at Penn St. and lost at home against a bad Michigan team. With games still against Penn St, at Northwestern and home against Illinois, I just don't see Iowa getting a bid this year even if they happen to win 2 games in the BTT, but on the bright side the season can still be salvaged by making a strong run in the NIT. Yes, I know, it's not thee tournament, but the more games Iowa gets to play is a win win for our sophomores and freshmen.

For a chance to dance, we need to win at least our next 4 straight games, something we have yet to do this season.

Iowa's longest winning streak this season is 3 (the last time: vs Rutgers, vs Neb, at MN).

Tonite is pretty much the season. Lose tonite and you are most likely not taking BOTH NU and Illinois.
Win tonite, split with Illinois/NU and win a couple in the BTT.

LFG!!!

full text of the tweet:

After a loss at Maryland, Payton Sandfort admitted some apprehension set in with the schedule that loomed. Iowa now 9-9 in B1G play with 2 games left.

“I mean, you see what's coming, you see Wisconsin, you see at Michigan State, you see at Illinois. We went 3-1 in this stretch. We've played some really good ball. This is everything you could ask for. That's why you’ve got to show up to practice. You’ve got to work as hard as you ever have, because this is what we’ve worked for. We’ve (given) ourselves a chance, and that that's what I'm proud of everybody for. Everybody’s come together. Even guys that aren’t playing, they’re working their butts off in practice. So, this is a total team effort. We know what's at stake, we’re going to find a way.”

First 4 out - Villanova, Utah, Texas A&M, New Mexico
Next 4 out - Iowa, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Syracuse
