McCord tells Matt Rhule...

Bored Nick Kyrgios GIF by Tennis TV
You can say that now but I'm telling you Matt Rhule is one hell of a coach. I was in Texas when he took over Baylor and turned it around. Nebraska might be have difficulty winning one score games but that's nothing compared to what Art Briles left him at Baylor. Two or three years from now I would almost guarantee Nebraska will have a better program than Iowa because they have endless resources, a better NIL and their coach will be under 70. I don't think they will ever get back to the glory days but I'm just saying...

Rhule coached them to 2nd in turnover margin. 2nd from the bottom. 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Rhule arrived in Baylor in 2016. Baylor was 10-3 prior to Rhule arriving. Baylor was 11-2 in both years prior to the 10-3 record. Yeah, they appear to be lacking the talent to win. Good thing Rhule came along to provide a combined 8-17 record in the next 2 years. He is buying the #1 QB out of necessity.

Keep in mind that the Raiola family have Nebraska in their bloodlines and has always been a realistic option. My guess is that Nebraska is telling the kid how great he is and will have a chance to start once he adjusted to CF and learns their system

Plus, Nebraska - nor any major school - will assure a kid straight out of HS the starting job - that's what McCord is requiring. McCord started for a major powerhouse last year with a top 2 or 3 offense with unreal weapons around him. 2024 will be McCord's 4th year in CF. You don't see a different situation between the two ? My guess is that Nebraska is throwing HUGE NIL money at Raiola
Paying the big money to an unproven rookie QB. What could go wrong?

Where? Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University? I heard they have a stellar offense or Regis College is the Pride… he would be playing against 12/13 year old kids … I am sure he could pass for over 400 yards for the first time in his career at one of these rinky dink colleges
Such a dumb set of comments. If Spencer Petras is recovered from his shoulder injury, and he plays in a decent offensive scheme, with a solid line and competent coaching....he will absolutely play good D1 football at the QB position. Did you not learn anything at all after watching this year and last year? You're still blaming Petras? Definition of ignorance right there!

I just googled ‘Dylan Raiola highlights’ and this was the first one:

I realize this is just one game but what am I missing? His WRs look phenomenal but if you didn’t tell me his ranking beforehand, I would never have guess he’s the top QB recruit in the country.

Four years, four high schools and zero state championships. I really hope the plan for Nebby is to pay him a lot and play him next year.

I think we can all agree that this insane NIL mega bucks-millions for kids that haven't even stepped foot on a college campus is past insane. Add in the Transfer Portal and we sure are in a different CF world than 5 years ago. Oh well.

QBing for Nebby might not quite be the same as QBing for Georgia.

His parents must be something.

Definitely stupid uninformed comment. Nate Stanley told us Iowa does no QB development….just Xs and Os. That right there tells it all. It is a system and support issue. As some have said…Tom Brady could have been our QB and would have had the same results/stats. The degree of Posters ignorance here is over the top. Some have no clue about Iowa football yet post here repeatedly thinking they do.
pathetic!

This is an accurate assessment.

Without knowing, I would think there is language written into the NIL to prevent that?
I think that is still a loophole that still has to be determined legally by the powers to be. I think they can still take it and run. They rushed into this portal stuff, they didn't cover all the bases.

To pound sand!

Funny as hell, if $1.5M -$2M isn't enough to bribe someone to play in Lincoln, what will it take?

With Rogers to Washington, looks like Spencer Petras might be getting a call.

LOL
We found out Raiola was coming and McCord likely wants guaranties on starting job. What a stupid take…
With talk of FSU joining the B1G, can we finally please kick Nebber out now? Send them back to the Big 12 with Iowa State and BYU, where they might actually be competitive.
you barely beat us at our worst (with an Iowa offense for one season) and act like you won the Super Bowl. HickEye fans are insufferable and have an inferiority complex given they have zero natties and most of the country laughs at their offense every year. Enjoy the copycat Steeler uniforms and holding hands though. GBR

Sure have been a lot of worst Nebraska teams ever recently

How many teams that finished the season in the Top 25 did Rhule beat while down there? It's not hard to look great while beating crap competition.

Oh, good God! This again? Neb has had an awful lot of "our worst team evers" the past 11 seasons...

inferiority complex given they have zero natties
Iowa has a consensus natty from 1958, and is tied with Neb in 21st century natties. Even Tory Taylor wasn't born yet when Scott Frost was playing.

Awesome dig from 45 years ago. And yeah, Nebraska's uniforms are so darn unique - red and white; look that same as 2 dozen other teams.

holding hands
This proved that YOU'RE the one with the inferiority complex...

More than likely that the Raiola family wanted guarantees about starting and Rhule was forced to choose.

It appears Nebraska will lose McCord to Syracuse.

Syracuse!!!!!

Looks like their original QB commit canceled MSU visit and is staying on with unL.

McCord to Syracuse.
Fleming to Penn State.
Raiola has a bidding war going on.

Could the unL media & goofy fanbase jumped the gun, again?! Color me shocked...

You beat Nebraska with thier third string QB on a last second FG. While somehow being a "ranked" 3 point underdog to a team with a losing record. Let's not act like Iowa is such a far more superior team 😅

Hasn't KF made a living on this. I mean look at this season. Played 2 ranked teams all year and had a competive total score of 75-0...

Saw that.

Perhaps not having a backup to Raiola helped Kaelin's NIL offer.

Look at the last 10, or so, years…yes, Iowa football program is superior to Nebraska football program.

You would think with how bad Nebraska is, most of those wins would've been blowouts. But that more "superior" school seems to eek out last minute wins, against a dumpster fire school...

Iowa eeks out last minute wins vs everyone. Quality of opponents is somewhat irrelevant.

I would be willing to bet Nebraska, going forward, will be more like 2015 and before as far as wins go. Getting the #1 QB, if it happens, goes a long way.
