I didn't see the match, but the truth is that J'den would have been aggressive against a worse wrestler. sometimes when a guy is better than you, it makes you look bad and not aggressive. i suspect this is the case. DT made many guys in college look not aggressive. Does that mean they weren't trying? Easy to make comments from the peanut gallery, and Taylor is definitely in the peanut gallery having F** instead of wrestling.

It must be tough, I appreciate that. And I think that Taylor is a huge talent and will be our USA rep for many years to come. And I will always root for him in the USA singlet...but I thought he and Carl got all their frustrations out at the WTT and chair throwing stint.

Personally, I like it when people are unfiltered and say what they want up on Twitter. It tells you where some one's head is really at and is ocassionaly entertaining. As far as DT's post goes, I appreciate that he spoke his mind and think he's a douche for holding that thought at the same time. It's more entertaining to me than being presented with that phony "fun" patina PSU constantly hits everyone over the head with.
Timing and how you say it matters. If we all just went around verbalizing every thought that entered our minds, and no one exhibited a bit of self control or care about how the timing or content of our words impacted those around us, the world would be one heck of a shitty place. It's called gamesmanship, manners, maturity, chivalry, self-control, self-awareness, etc. All things that should matter in this world.

That is how the repechage works. The people that lose to the finalist are the only people who get a chance to wrestle back.
Just wanted to point out that only athletes that Gilman has defeated are in the consolations - that's the set-up for repechage. What you pointed out is true for every wrestler in the finals.
This is not to say he hasn't wrestled good athletes - it's the world championships.

i know how the repechage works. i was saying his first match opponent has "run the guantlet" of opponents, just like Thomas did...as opposed to losing to the guy who he beat 2nd round, and QF, etc
Track is showing him up 4-0 but all of twitter is saying he's losing 4-0....I think track is wrong unfortunately.
Just to expand on my statement--Did Dan Dennis have no heart because he got rolled quickly at the Olympics? Did Steibler have no heart? They just got beat by better guys and it made them look bad. Did Taylor have no heart in his WTT loss to Cox? DT needs to shut his mouth and get better. Does he want his colleagues to hate him? Its all f** until you lose.
Heck of a run by Gilman , From NCAA's till now he has earned alot of respect and his fanclub has grown tremendously. Dude is all heart.
