Men's Freestyle Day Two Thread

As much as I was pulling for Green, I must admit I have a total man crush on Frank Chamizo. I was aware of him when he won a World Bronze for Cuba, but I hadn't seen him wrestle until the 2015 World's. Chamizo has entered into the Barry Sanders realm. I'm not a Lions fan (or a fan of any team in the NFC North), but if the tv was on and Detroit had the ball, I immediately stopped what I was doing (even if it was of a sexual nature) to watch what Barry Sanders might do next. Chamizo has become that guy for me. Prior to the match, I told my wife she had to watch Green vs Chamizo, that it may look like two mongoose going at it. While my wife was watching the match, her comment to me was, with a tone of absolute shock in her voice, "I never thought I would see the day when a coach of James Green had to say, get your hands on this guy and crowd him or else his speed and athleticism will kill you." Unbelievable performance.
I agree with everything. . . except you know you're a Vikings fan deep down inside.

Anyone know if Cory is going 61kg next year? It would be fun to see him run through the trials like Gilman did. Him and Stieber would be a battle.

Meh...I think Zain wrestled well but fell victim to some old guy tricks. Was a half second too late. Don't know what happened with Streibler.
By looking at scores Zain could have won a gold. He was on par with these guys, he will be back and he will be better. Used to hate him until I saw his interviews. Lol
Now I'm a big fan. Love his style too.

Agree. He's a good kid. He's Gilman's buddy and roommate on these trips. May he lose to Sorensen at nationals and win gold at the world championships next year.

I wouldn't go that far, yet. I think it did a lot for his confidence to face a guy he knew pretty well in Habat. He's going to have to not get stuck under guys on his shots...the foreigners are experts at stopping the shot or working it to their advantage. Same thing happened to Gilman with Japan. Sometimes our aggression works against us.

Sometimes it doesn't, see Burroughs and Snyder. He just needs more fs experience imo.

I don't recall Zain wrestling Habat very often. Are you talking folk or freestyle?

I never understood why everyone takes spelling and grammar so seriously on message boards when spell check or voice to messsge can easily misspell your intended message for you, and many messages are typed rather quickly.
Simple solution, type slower and don't voice message.

I don't care much about the grammar portion, but accuracy should always matter, even on a stupid forum (letters (Streibler), numbers (83%), doesn't matter).

Seriously, some people can't spell, and some are just plain ass lazy, but if accuracy doesn't matter then why don't we all just communicate this way..........

It matters.(while also fully acknowledging I'm sure I've screwed up a time or two as well, but I TRY no too.................. not life or death for sure, but still............)

I'm actually not saying people shouldn't try, my beef is with the people who take the time to type grammatical or spelling corrections. It comes across as I'm smarter than you, or trying to discredit their entire post based on this, and can derail a thread. Just no need. Let it go when it happens.

Fair enough.
