Who is this Deakin kid from NW? He is tough! On a side note. I think Tirstis got a takedown. It is 3-3 in his match.

Anyone else’s crappy bigten2go go haywire? This thing has been a joke all winter so far. Says I need to purchase but already have. I don’t have the option to even purchase it again because it says “purchased”.

“Officer, I can’t pull over any farther!”

Lee is healthy. Acclimated is a different question. It’s possible coach has dangled a carrot of possibility (intelligently) in Lee in front of us in order to garner excitement and enthusiasm. It’s also possible that Lee is Free. I’d believe both and understand both.

Great tournament for Iowa, with 5 champions.

Obvious disappointments with Lee and Warner suffering losses. Hopefully Lee is okay as far as his knee is concerned.

Brando is tough as nails in tournaments. Murins style looks like Clark sometimes, just not as sharp yet. Good for the Bull, even if IMar not there. Kem might surprise and take it all this year. Cash improving this year. Stoll is top 4 right now. It might be a rebuilding year but its a darn good build.

Impressive weekend for Hawkeyes:

5 champs and tons of bonus points for a dominating Midlands Championship. Gotta especially like the bonus points put up which built the big lead over the rest of the field.

I believe every Iowa wrestler wrestled at or above their seed. Arizona State came in favored based upon seeding, but they wrestled below their seed in many cases and faded to a 4th place finish. Highlights: Happel seeded 12th, finished 6th. WIlke seeded 3rd, finished 1st. Five of the six non-scorers seeded 7 thru 10, finished top 6.

The Iowa redshirts (Lee, Murin, Lugo, Warner, Costello) ended up with four top six placers, and scored a combined 58.5 points to finish in 9th place as a team.
