Estrada seems to think 149, said he is too short for 157. Even if Chittum is 157 I think Rathjen will be a tough out for 149. It will get figured out.So it appears Estrada will be a 149/157. Is Chittum going 149? Anthony Ferrari is a 157/165? Both Ferrari and Chittum would have burned through 2 years of eligibility before Estrada comes off of his redshirt. Does he sit for 2 years? Does Ferrari sit out his last 2 years or transfer? Chittum isn't getting bumped out. I'm with most everyone on this board in bring them in and let it sort itself out in the room.
Out of the 3 Estrada seems the most likely to stay at 149 as he’s pretty short. Kids grow, but he won a state title his Freshman year at 140, then state titles his sophomore and Junior year at 145. 149 seems perfect for him. He may wrestle up at 152 for competition here and there, but he looks pretty short and stout for 157. Chittum is much better suited for a move up to 157. I like 141- Block 149- Estrada 157- Chittum -165 FerrariSo it appears Estrada will be a 149/157. Is Chittum going 149? Anthony Ferrari is a 157/165? Yes, Chittum is planning to go 157.Willie said on the intermat forums he talked to Cody's dad and he is going 157
Miguel still has a year to move up in the rankings. He shouldn’t be mid tier by the time he graduates from hs.
Hopefully, but Riggins was number 1 at weight as junior and slipped to number 5 as senior. Think was top 20 pfp, and ended up 30 something by end of high schoolMiguel still has a year to move up in the rankings. He shouldn’t be mid tier by the time he graduates from hs.
Seems short for weight, but very talented. Thought Kennedy was listed as sophomore, which would mean 2 years left. Ferrari would have to sit a year after redshirt if that’s the case. If not, does anyone see him sitting 3 years, after already not wrestling this past year?Yes, Chittum is planning to go 157.
Kennedy wrestled in 2021 during the free year, then redshirted last year (2022), and used his first year of actual eligibility this season.Seems short for weight, but very talented. Agree about Ferrari. Whatever you think of the Ferrari’s, they work their ass off when it comes to conditioning and strength to maximize their athletic ability. Someone may be leaving, because we just can’t stack studs at similar weights like PSU does.Kennedy wrestled in 2021 during the free year, then redshirted last year (2022), and used his first year of actual eligibility this season.
IMO Ferrari is a better athlete than Kennedy, remains to be seen who is the better wrestler. I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari overtook Kennedy. That's not a knock on Kennedy, I'm just high on Anthony's potential. We'll be in good hands no matter how it shakes out between 157/165.
Had nowhere to go but down…Hope your right, but Riggins years number one in weight

Ya, didn’t look good against Haines and kid from California on ISU now, and that brought his ranking down to earth again. He’s solid, but just not as athletic as most blue chip guys. But, Bernie and the kid from Minnesota were not blue chips in high school and they took off in college. Not sure how Griffith was ranked in high school??Had nowhere to go but down…
i had Griffith #19![]()
0% ... 74 == ArnoldWhats the chances we have Ferraris at 174, 184, 197 after next season??? PK at 165. That would be one heck of an upper weight lineup. Call them the Storm Troopers!!!!

A subtle but correct way of saying recruiting is subjective.i had Griffith #19
Got me there spooner, glad to see you are paying attention. I will take whoever is better, but yes I am a huge Arnold fan and do believe he will be the man at 174 after Nelson is done. Not a big Gabe Arnold fan, I see.
Yes Arnold at 174 after Nelson is done you are correct. We can still call them the storm troopers and have more than one hammer at each weight like PSU0% ... 74 == Arnold
I’m doubting the Ferrari boys will take sitting on bench well..Yes Arnold at 174 after Nelson is done you are correct. We can still call them the storm troopers and have more than one hammer at each weight like PSU
Few top guys would, nevertheless psu is somehow finding a way to keep multiple top p4p guys at a few weights and making it work. Horses in the barnI’m doubting the Ferrari boys will take sitting on bench well..
Some don’t sit well.Few top guys would, nevertheless psu is somehow finding a way to keep multiple top p4p guys at a few weights and making it work. Horses in the barn
This is why I thought their plan was to have chittum at 149, Ferrari 157, then both move up after Kennedy gone, if making these weights isn’t to hard for them.I’m doubting the Ferrari boys will take sitting on bench well..
I would never had been able to sit the bench, not a chance! I honestly give a lot of credit to these guys who are multiple state champs and are able to stay humble enough and true to the process of getting their chance if and when it comes. Some don’t sit well.
