yes we should get someone to fill cade's spot but i can't be the only one who's actually okay with the firm of Sullivan and Stratton. A full offseason and these guys will do far better than any iowa qb that followed cj. yes, i think these two can be better than nate.

I do think if they bring in a QB we might lose Sully

It looks like Iowa didn’t even offer him out of HS. I always start there. I’d guess this one would be a long shot.
Normally I'd agree with you. But with Lester in the fold, I don't think the fact of whether we offered out of HS or not is going to play much of a factor. Alot will depend on Lester's current connections.

I worry about this. Unless you get a clear upgrade you lose sully and you got problems… you lose sully and lainez you are in big trouble…
If you gonna bring a guy in he better be a stud or a young guy with potential… none of this wiegman BS
We had big problems this year at the QB position. Neither Sullivan nor Shaggy was brought in to be QB1. They were brought in late to provide depth to the dumpster fire that was Iowa's QB room. Lester is still looking for QB1.

They can go after 2 portal qbs if needed. If Sully and Marco want to transfer than let them. I'm not sold on either one of them so if they can bring in better talent than let it work itself out!

Well, if we can get an upgrade, I am all for it.

I wonder if there is any chance Jimmy Sullivan could start....probably not.

Is Marco that bad? Probably is.

Crazy situation and we still won 18 games over the last 2 seasons.

Anyone reporting an Iowa contact?
No, he was originally committed to Mizzu so am guessing Iowa staff knew he was either going there or Neb and probably didn't put much effort into it. There is also the possibility that the Iowa staff at the time didn't like him being a fit at Iowa but we know how well QB eval has been.

My personal choice of who Iowa should go after. Absolute gamer with mobility, arm, size. Have seen several of his HS games and could not believe he still chose to go to Nebby when Mahomes chose Neb.

can we unite as a fanbase and call him "Kato" should he decide to be a hawk?

If Iowa can get a clear-cut QB1 who is a legitimate B1G starter, then great. The worry is this won’t happen, so they’ll have to find a way to keep everyone in the room happy with their situation while trying to develop them before next season.

But that's what has to happen. Do you not go out a try and get the best QB you can because you're afraid of what the QB's you have in house will feel? That's a total loser mentality and holds you back from improvement. The passing game was atrocious this year.

I also gotta wonder if the idea of someone being a "camp body" becomes dead in the water. Is that how they ended up with Deacon? Bring in someone thinking they'll never be needed beyond practice squad, and then boom a few injuries or some weed gets smoked and now you've got a D3 athlete starting in the B1G?

The landmark House v. NCAA settlement proposal, which would allow D-I schools to pay college athletes for the first time in history.

If the proposal is finalized in April, each school could begin sharing between $20 million and $30 million in revenue with players as early as July 1, 2025. Schools aren’t required to participate—but if they do, they have to provide revenue-sharing dollars to all the athletes in their departments.
