Perplexing match by Desanto
Gliva takes his second shot of the match with 30 seconds to go and Angel calls Desanto for stalling. He’s the worst.
The pace of that match completely changed after that loooong review. Austin had 3 takedowns before that.
Hawks are wrestling like they expect their opponents to lie down and let them win. Very bizarre opening to the B1G dual season.
How many times did DeSanto look at the clock in the third? Looked like he was coming off an illness and was hanging on at the end.
That’s different than the most you’ve ever been f’d over by someone.
Angel is bad but DeSanto was doing next to nothing. Not that Gilva was doing much more. Warranted call imo. Ugly match. Throw that one away
I’m fine with that ADS match. His style is based of forward pressure from his opponent. ADS uses that pressure against them. He’s been scouted. His opponent never went forward. If they won’t call stalls sometimes you have to win ugly. Stay in your best ties.
We saw ADS shoot several left leg singles. He only does that when he has to, but that’s not his best or cleanest finish. Just win. Especially in March.

What’s weird about it? I love my brother about eleventy-billion times more than I love Kemerer…. We thought he was going to be wrestling in his debut tonight… til we got in the parking lot.

pumped that kem is back and don't agree with the brother airing the dirty laundry, but a totally bizarre series of decisions from brands. if there was any question of kemerer wrestling tonight, why on earth would you wrestle swafford attached at the scuffle? and then why would you run the kid out in front of the media all week to talk about how long he's dreamt of this moment? only to change your mind? all they accomplished was to waste a kid's redshirt and alienate his family. unforced error.

With the recent news this week of losing the teams hammer, I thought the guys would come out fired up and realizing they all gotta do a little more now.
my glass half full position is that we've seen most hawk teams peak early and then wrestle below seed at nationals and now they're going to look rough early and overperform in march.

great finish from murin. he's come a long way in that department in the last couple years. would love to see him open up a bit more, but that's a great example of a kid that squeezes every ounce of talent out of himself.
