These types of discussions are generally silly. Iowa State and Iowa fans go to extraordinary lengths to try to win a trivial argument. Both fan bases usually end up accomplishing nothing more than looking incredibly stupid.
Things change from one week to the next. This is the first time in my life (I'm 37) I ever recall Iowa losing a football game and moving up in the polls.
So, with all that said, here's what I believe to be true:
1. Both Iowa and Iowa State are vastly improved from Week 2. Both are a contrast in styles. If they played today, the odds are the same as they were in Week 2: a toss up.
2. Iowa State is Iowa's best win of the season.
3. Iowa State has played a tougher schedule than Iowa.
4. Neither the B1G Ten or Big XII is clearly stronger than the other.
5. Nate Stanley is the Jekyll and Hyde of college quarterbacks.
6. Brock Purdy is very talented with a seemingly high ceiling. He is not Johnny Manziel. Furthermore, he would not be starting at Iowa because Ferentz has an incorrigible commitment to sticking with one quarterback.

Between 1997 and 2007 I sold cable television advertising, and I learned so much about these networks and how they worked, and even met a bunch of their 'celebrities'. I have no respect for ANY cable tv 'news'. They all have CIA plants that tell them what to broadcast half the time.

Kansas is not good. They are better than they have been the past couple of years, and better now than they were earlier in the season. They have several excellent players. But they are not a good football team. They are a poor football team.

KU ran for over 400 yards against a B10 team (where they play no defense).
The biggest factor in that game was ISU not playing a game the week before. At the beginning of the year, that was a huge built in advantage for Iowa.
Iowa would still handle Iowa State today ... just as it has 8 of the last 11 games they've played. Maybe Campbell will finally get Iowa when he's a Buckeye.

I am not defending ISU fans but Purdue lost to E. Michigan and I am assuming many B10 fans are saying that was a fluke because it was at the beginning of the year. Or is it just proof how bad the B10 is?

Purdue dlineman got unsportsmanlike penalty in back to back games late in both NW and Eastern Michigan which lead to losses in those games - field goal vs Eastern Michigan and getting the ball back from NW to have a chance to win. Purdue is a much better team than what their record indicates. I’d like to see Purdue and ISU in a bowl game. I’d put my money on Purdue.

He was getting pissed at us & they had to have their cop stand by us the whole game.

The Johnstown flood gives us a great indication what the Carnegie people and their buddies thought of the people who made them rich. I don't care that he helped rebuild the town. Everything he did was in his own self interest. He had 'history' rewritten later in his life to make him appear a more sympathetic person.
