Completely. Sure there are some great players. But On the whole: shooting is crap; despite huge amounts of defensive space given. Just a markedly inferior product.

And I don’t say that lightly. I think there are certain womens sports that are more enjoyable to watch (soccer, hockey) as you can see the skill and systems so much better.

Not hoops.

I love how the narrative from UConn fans and Iowa haters has changed from “that wasn’t a foul” to “okay, yeah, it was obviously a foul…but you can’t call a foul in the final seconds of the game - you have to let the players decide the outcome.”

Okay. Let’s pretend for a moment that Edwards set a perfectly legal pick on Gabbie and Bueckers launched the potential game-winning shot. But Stuelke hits her on the arm during the shot, causing her to miss.

Do we call that foul or are we still letting the players decide the outcome?

Apparently the narrative is now "you can't make that call there, let the players decide the game." Feels like people aren't disputing it was a foul. So gaining an advantage by setting an illegal screen is letting the players decide? I'm having a hard time following the logic.

Help me understand this nonsense. Because I surely don’t.

CLEVELAND – The officials just couldn’t help themselves.

Caitlin Clark and Iowa. Paige Bueckers and UConn. The teams battling in a prize-fight worthy of a game, a spot in the national championship game on the line.

And the refs had to go and make it about them.

After a season’s worth of bad calls, inconsistencyand a lack of transparency, the end of what was a spectacular game was marred by an offensive foul call with three seconds left and UConn trailing 70-69. Whether it was the right call or not – replays did seem to show Aaliyah Edwards threw her elbow at Gabbie Marshall on a screen-rescreen, and her stance was considerably wider than her shoulders, which is not allowed – is largely irrelevant.

Players play the game. They should get the chance to decide it, too.

Huh?? Largely irrelevant? 😂

Clark has taken some unwarranted, unnecessary shots in the last couple weeks which have reeked of jealousy. There are a few other players may have been more talented or won more championships, but the TV numbers and the below tweet has never freaking happened
