@Ndallasruss

Truly enjoyed it, you are good shit dude and hearing you speak of your daughter, your love is undeniable. God help me as I try to navigate mine through some of those challenges.
Same - i enjoyed it. Funny to see people that don't know you making assumptions just based on here.

And yeah, raising a daughter is tough - so many landmines and new things you'd never imagine you'd have to be warning her about, or worrying about. You'll do well.

so what assumptions about each other were busted today?

It's easier to make an excuse than acknowledge someone else might have validity in some of the things they say.

I'm guilty as well.

Thanks.

My answer would be that Russ is very much what he presents here.

He is a mild manored man, very intelligent and well spoken. Likely a "centrist" in most of the country though he and I both laughed when I joked that I was. He is a large man, I believe he has shared on here he played college FB, so I think I'm ok to repeat that, I would guess O line more than Dline as he presents as more " protector" than " disruptor". He is funny, you can tell he doesn't take life to serious, he is motivated towards his goals not the "Mercedes amg".

I appreciate that. And I laughed at you calling yourself a centrist because I know how people on here interpret you, compared to actuality. We didn't talk much politics but I didn't get the impression that you were any farther to one extreme than I am.

Good call - i did play offensive line. If I'd gone to a bigger school though, I'd have probably been a TE. I was admittedly in better shape 30 years ago - getting old sucks! :)

This was like most of today's movies---great buildup, terrible ending.
I get that it wasn't a "New Orleans"-style ending, but it was a Tuesday night and I had an 8am call. I think any expectations for better hijinks might've been a little unreasonable. Sure, early 20s NDallasRuss wouldn't have worried about rest, and just stayed up all night, but I'm older and (presumably) wiser now.

So I guess it was more "Lost in Translation" where we've focused on character exposition, than "The Hangover", where we tried to find WDDT's car while trying to remember the previous night's events, and being chased by Asian gang members.

If you’re back in Flower Mound, most of those “Mexican” restaurants are Texas-Mex, which is trash. Also, FM not known as a culinary destination. Suburb that get suburban food. Places like Mi Cocina and Mattitos are only marginally better choices.
TexMex food is trash? Seriously???
Are you from Cali or something?

Tex Mex is an overly cheesy, greasier, and simplistic version of Mexican food. Authentic Mexican cuisine destroys Tex Mex. In DFW, authentic Mexican is as easy, or easier, to get than Tex Mex…so why bother with the lesser?
