Does this put McQuitty in play? Will a potential coaching change at his position make him second guess his school of choice?
Honestly? He would never make it until #3.I think you are spot on. But I also think that many universities push the limits when they prostitute their programs for the sole purpose of winning and increasing revenues. I would like to think that the Ferentz lead Iowa program keeps things pretty just and honest. What do you think would happen to an assistant Iowa coach after his 3rd DUI?
Iowa forum mods routinely ban posters and actually go to the extreme of banning IP addresses. Contrary to what many of you believe, the Iowa football program is no better or no worse than any other program in the country when it comes to discipline of coaches and players. It is either ignorance or trolling to suggest that the Iowa program always takes the high road and is morally superior. Of course this moral superiority is also used to explain the mediocre success of hawk football through the years. Many of you seem to want the Iowa program to have the respect of programs like tOSU, Michigan and MichSt without having to earn it on the field. Good luck with your Kansas State like schedule again this year. I know, I know, Iowa can only play the teams in front of them and there is nothing that can be done to create a more difficult schedule. There is no defending the schedule so you should just own it and accept that at best hawk football is little brother to at least 6 other programs in the B1G. Hawks have one of the best coaches in the nation and a very good QB and still gets embarrassed on the field. I personally look forward to the day when KF retires or takes another job and CJB is gone and you hawk fans slink back into the holes you crawl out of every time the Hawks have a winning season.

Hmmmmm.....lets provide some recent evidence from just last year. In the weeks leading up to the Black Friday showdown: Nebraska had multiple players linked to a rape charge and was proven that it was in fact at the players residence...long story short all players played in that game. Whereas that week Iowa had a player who was a few minutes late to a meeting and ended up missing the first quarter, it just so happens that said player was leading the nation in interceptions, all american, and Thorpe winner Desmond King. So you tell me, based on this recent evidence which program has better discipline and holds true to that discipline????? Iowa sits All American player in a game to send them to Big Ten Championship and undefeated season for being late to a meeting and Nebby plays all players linked to rape so that they can possible win their 6th game of the season........Mic DropIowa forum mods routinely ban posters and actually go to the extreme of banning IP addresses. Are you high?Neb has been lil bro to Iowa for the last 15 years. I don't see that changing in my lifetime.
I think that is awfully sad. If it was Joe Blow getting his 3rd DUI, he would probably face 6 months in jail, plus other fines and community service. It is embarrassing. What kind of message are they sending to their student/athletes?
Nope. Just know a lot about football. If Neb played in the B1G in the 80's & 90's they'd have zero Nat Titles. And probably the same amount of B1G conference titles as they have now.Are you high?
Its not 1995 anymore. Are you high?

Back to the point. How did this guy get the job with 2 DUIs?!?!?! Now he has 3 which is beyond ridiculous, during fall camp nonetheless and he still hasnt been fired. It's absolutely incredible and defies all logic. And you have Nebraska fans happy he might keep his job. WTF
Most of those games were against B12 North.15 years
Nebraska 127-69
Iowa 123-68...... This is being owned
So let it be written let's see if Iowa can get it done.
You do realize the 95 team is considered by many in the national media as the greatest team of all time. If you "know a lot about football," you should realize how absurd that statement is. Last 15 years have been average, hoping the Black Friday games have meaning more years than not.Nope. Just know a lot about football. If Neb played in the B1G in the 80's & 90's they'd have zero Nat Titles. And probably the same amount of B1G conference titles as they have now.

So not a single Husker fan wants to comment on this or does this violate your confirmation bias? I see several Husker fans commented after this was posted, but I am assuming there has not been a rebuttal because it is obvious that character and discipline is much more important east of the Missouri River than on the West side.....I think this situation proves that this is the case and the funny thing is I keep hearing that it is "win at all cost" in Huskerville, however; where is the winning! Say what you want about KF, but one thing that would be tough to criticize is his character and the character of the program.Hmmmmm.....lets provide some recent evidence from just last year. "Still, authorities announced at a Wednesday press conference that evidence was lacking to bring charges in an alleged sexual assault at the home of Husker quarterback Tommy Armstrong, receiver Jordan Westerkamp and tight end Trey Foster.Huh? Days before the game it was concluded that no charges would be filed and that the investigation was closed. Why in the world would any player be suspended based off that? Should the players have been suspended for something they did not do?
"Still, authorities announced at a Wednesday press conference that evidence was lacking to bring charges in an alleged sexual assault at the home of Husker quarterback Tommy Armstrong, receiver Jordan Westerkamp and tight end Trey Foster.
Lancaster County Attorney Joe Kelly said he was ethically bound not to file charges without evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt, the standard needed to convince a judge or jury.
"When the police chief was asked whether anything “very questionable” had occurred at the players’ house, he responded, “That is correct.”
Later, when asked whether he wanted to characterize what happened in another way, Peschong said: “I mean I believe the victim. We had a report of an alleged sexual assault. We conducted an investigation into this matter, and with the investigators, and with the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office, we do not feel that we have the elements of a crime that we can move forward with.”
Essentially what it says is that the investigators believed that the young woman was raped and that something very suspicious happened, however; there was no evidence to file criminal charges......the article also goes on to quote Armstrong as stated he felt the sexual encounter was concentual, which further proved that he was aware of the encounter in which the woman claimed was she was raped (in which investigators believed her). None the less just because they were not convicted of a crime does not mean they should not be suspended. The fact that a coach (somebody who is too be a role model to young men) just got his 3rd OWI (not 1st or 2nd, but #3) was not fired immediately tells you a lot about the character of the program.....this is also considering that the university suspended the nations best defensive back for being late to a meeting when they were 11-0 and playing a border rival, while Nebby doesn't even consider suspending several players in which a rape occurred at their residents in which they were throwing a party.I'm not really sure what this proves...there was no charges, and the investigation was done days before the game. Thank you for furthering that point. And nowhere in what you just copied and pasted did it state that any of the Husker players were suspects.
We conducted an investigation into this matter, and with the investigators, and with the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office, we do not feel that we have the elements of a crime that we can move forward with.”
Investigation...over.
Wow, can not believe his employment would even be debatable for multiple reasons.....if an Iowa assistant got 1 OWI I would wonder if he should be still be in position to mentor young men, definitely not after his 2nd, but his 3rd offense.....cmon now.....So, according to this, it's mandatory 90 days in jail for him then???

Tough to do your job while in jail for the whole season...but with our legal system, it will be delayed till February
And THEN played in the Fiesta Bowl when they rolled Spurrier - so much for consequences.
