Hmmmmm.....lets provide some recent evidence from just last year. In the weeks leading up to the Black Friday showdown: Nebraska had multiple players linked to a rape charge and was proven that it was in fact at the players residence...long story short all players played in that game. Whereas that week Iowa had a player who was a few minutes late to a meeting and ended up missing the first quarter, it just so happens that said player was leading the nation in interceptions, all american, and Thorpe winner Desmond King. So you tell me, based on this recent evidence which program has better discipline and holds true to that discipline????? Iowa sits All American player in a game to send them to Big Ten Championship and undefeated season for being late to a meeting and Nebby plays all players linked to rape so that they can possible win their 6th game of the season........Mic Drop
Not necessarily true. In Ames, you can drive a Cyride bus, hit and kill someone, flee the scene, and get sentenced to a month in jail and a $100 dollar fine.

Yes it proves UNL is a good (certainly not great) program just like Iowa. It also proves the Big 10 is a lot more difficult than any UNL fan would admit to (it least the ones that post on this board). Now back to that assistant coach. Give me one reason why he has not been fired? UNL is going to be ripped by the national media unless he is eventually released. This could be added to the upcoming ESPN 30/30 documentation.

Except Iowa has Big Ten championships, BCS bowls and top 10 finishes. UN's got nothin' except numerous losses worse that Iowa has has had in the past 50 years.
The difference is Iowa's highs are higher and lows are lower. UN is consistently above average.

Because he's a great recruiter. If he was just a position coach and a so-so recruiter, he would have been dismissed the minute it happened. And he likely wouldn't have been hired in the first place. But he's been one of the big reasons for Nebraska's recruiting successes in the Riley regime. Cutting ties with him would leave a gaping hole in the recruiting efforts alone. The fact that Riley is taking this amount of time with the decision leads me to believe that the coach will serve some sort of suspension and be back.
So not a single Husker fan wants to comment on this or does this violate your confirmation bias? I see several Husker fans commented after this was posted, but I am assuming there has not been a rebuttal because it is obvious that character and discipline is much more important east of the Missouri River than on the West side.....I think this situation proves that this is the case and the funny thing is I keep hearing that it is "win at all cost" in Huskerville, however; where is the winning! Huh? Days before the game it was concluded that no charges would be filed and that the investigation was closed. Why in the world would any player be suspended based off that? Should the players have been suspended for something they did not do?

I'm not really sure what this proves...there was no charges, and the investigation was done days before the game. Thank you for furthering that point. And nowhere in what you just copied and pasted did it state that any of the Husker players were suspects.

Essentially what it says is that the investigators believed that the young woman was raped and that something very suspicious happened, however; there was no evidence to file criminal charges......the article also goes on to quote Armstrong as stated he felt the sexual encounter was concentual, which further proved that he was aware of the encounter in which the woman claimed was she was raped (in which investigators believed her). None the less just because they were not convicted of a crime does not mean they should not be suspended. The fact that a coach (somebody who is too be a role model to young men) just got his 3rd OWI (not 1st or 2nd, but #3) was not fired immediately tells you a lot about the character of the program.....this is also considering that the university suspended the nations best defensive back for being late to a meeting when they were 11-0 and playing a border rival, while Nebby doesn't even consider suspending several players in which a rape occurred at their residents in which they were throwing a party.
Wow, can not believe his employment would even be debatable for multiple reasons.....if an Iowa assistant got 1 OWI I would wonder if he should be still be in position to mentor young men, definitely not after his 2nd, but his 3rd offense.....cmon now.....
