My take is this, Until they sign on Signing Day, they are not 100% committed. If the recruits could sign whenever they made up their mind, (in their Sr year) , it would stop a lot of this type of thing. I also hear a lot of coaches say, "a scholarship is year to year and has to be renewed." If this is the case then why do they scream when a recruit wants to leave and play somewhere else? If a school can choose to not renew the scholly and give it to someone else, then the kid should be able to go wherever he wants with no penalties. This is for the SEC fans out there.
