It used to grind my gears constantly listening to the national narrative about how Iowa isn't built for big plays and playing fast, but now I see that was completely true. It's a sad realization, Iowa football will forever be known slow-but well coached.

Unfortunately, too late to change the offense and defense and get more speed and actually have a game plan.
I saw something on facebook that the Stanford band announcers were making fun of Iowa during their halftime show, and the cow WAS a thinly veiled attack. Hence the booing from Iowa fans.
If Kevin Kastens was a team player, he'd bring the band back onto the field for the last 20 seconds of the 4th qtr. Then ESPN highlight reels will show that for the next century instead of any footage from this game.

Last year, I didn't feel like the team wanted to be there. This year, I really think this is a complete failure at the coaching level. Nobody on Iowa looks like they know what the f*** they are supposed to be doing out there. The defense looks lost, the offensive line has no idea who they are supposed to be blocking, and the tackling is so bad I'll almost be surprised if no investigation is launched after the game to make sure players weren't paid off.
I'm not calling for anyone to get fired for this, but the coaching staff better take full responsibility for this.

I know you're an Iowa State fan so I have to take that into account.
I'm beginning to think the same. Even after an undefeated season. When you think that maybe we will begin to get the 4 and 5 stars. Then we have a game like this. And it's back to the same ole Iowa. Only good when Nebby and Wisky are not.
Not unless we cheat badly and run a dirty program. At this point I would be all for it.
