She's not wrong. It's a hard stance to take, cause everyone would love to win an Olympic medal.
USA basketball is allowed to be political, because they have an embarrassment of riches. They can pick and choose based on politics and still have a team that dominates.
If the competition was nipping at their heels, they'd have a reason to actually choose the very best.... Not a "player coach" do she can get her 15th gold medal.

Hmmm. All? You mean like the other night when she put up 24 and 19? Multiple ankle breaking drives to the basket? We;ll see if her shot comes around after a few weeks of rest....A couple of notes. The one game where she lit it up for 7 threes I believe was when they had 5 or 6 days between games. She's also still 3rd in the league on made three's.....

Was thinking this the entire game, and especially taking in the last WNBA games I saw all four of them play. Plum looked horrible, Tarausi slow and old, and Caitlin and Arike…on fire.
This is so pretty. And the 2 rookies schooling the 6'9" Griner is so much fun. And all 6'4" Breanna Stewart can do is watch.
She certainly deserves a vacation! As do I…I’m ready to take a break from watching basketball nonstop since November 😉
Just think reeves gave the excuse that cc didn’t get to practice with the national team so she couldn’t really be considered.
Lot of good those practices did, you just lost to a team of people that don’t play together.
