***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

I wouldn’t be surprised if she said she had a migraine again. They showed her at halftime leaving the court first, then once in the hallway going into a different room than all the other players.
Ha, I noticed that as well.

She stormed off the court and took a quick right.

The other players went right past that room. I thought maybe she had to go to the bathroom bad or something. Lol

Who knows.

That draft class is...not the greatest 🤷‍♂️

The #6 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft would like a word with you....

4 games left in the regular season. How will the Fever handle the last few games? Certainly don't want CC playing 40 minutes a game as they head into the playoffs. Do they rest her a bit against Dallas and Washington?

I might have said that a time or two...

It was just so obvious for us because we watched her play at Iowa for 4 years, we knew what worked with her style of play. Perhaps we should have considered that it would take some time for the rest of the team to catch up to her, not just the coach. It just didn't seem like they were heading that direction sometimes. At any rate, whether they were always trying to get here and they just hadn't adjusted or whether it took some time convincing the coaching staff and rest of the team that this fast pace, high flying style could work at the WNBA level they did eventually get there and we were right about one thing. The league wasn't going to be able to keep pace with her style of play.

Oh, and all those people who said "Clark fans don't understand basketball" can go eat a bag of dicks.
This might be the most dead on post about the WNBA, Caitlin, & Sides ever!!!

Everything you said I couldn’t have said it better.

We were right. The rest of the world was wrong.

Good question. But will CC want to sit for extended minutes and watch? Will be interesting....

The Fever don't play for 3 days. And then there is a 4 day gap between the final 2 reg season games.

The Last 4 Reg Season Games:
Wed Sep 11 vs.....#4 Las Vegas.........(22-13)
Fri Sep 13 vs........#4 Las Vegas.........(22-13)
Sun Sep 15 vs.....#11 Dallas................(9-26)
Thur Sep 19 at...#10 Washington....(11-24)

I watched the post game press conference, the way she talked, it looked like they lost.

The amount of frustration she’s shown these last two games, whether towards the refs or even her own teammates.

I think the pressure is getting too much for her which is understandable.

When they have the 6 seed locked up and can't get the 5 seed, Sides better limit the minutes.

I'm too lazy to figure it out, but the last two games should be pretty meaningless?
Does Seattle have the tiebreaker against Fever?

The WNBA has Caitlin Clark ranked #6 in the MVP ladder. Too low or too high?

1 A'ja Wilson, Las Vegas
2 Napheesa Collier, Minnesota
3 Sabrina Ionescu, New York
4 Breanna Stewart, New York
5 Alyssa Thomas, Connecticut
6 Caitlin Clark, Indiana

Also note that she's considered to be very close to being FIRST TEAM ALL WNBA.

She's a perfectionist. Seems a normal reaction to the game she wants and the game that was played. Not sure why that needs extra scrutiny.

She's in good company in the turnover stat. The NBA top 6 turnover leaders are: LeBron, Westbrook, Karl Malone, Moses Molone, Stockton and Kobe.

But watching her make them just drives me
She should rest a little but there are a lot of records within her reach and I'm sure her and the coaches will decide what's best. You're only a rookie once and I doubt the Fever can win the whole thing???
If you had a no hitter going into the 8th inning would you want to be taken out? This maybe your only chance in your career you can obtain this goal..

But, wouldn't that be considered "Stat Padding?" ;)

If Temi can stay healthy, she's a weapon on both ends of the court.

In 28 minutes today, she was 4-7 (57%) from the field, 1-1 from the FT line for 9 points, 4 rebounds (1 offensive), 2 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal.

I agree with Coach about CC's passionate dissention with the officials, but she continually throws players under the bus while not accepting any accountability for her coaching decisions.
Please keep in mind that Sides is the same coach that had Wallace and Samuelson in the starting lineup at beginning of season. Not sold on her quality of judgment.

In the 2022 WNBA Draft, Rhyne Howard was the #1 overall pick. NaLyssa Smith was the #2 overall pick. Lexi Hull was the #6 overall pick.

Here were the top 12 picks of round 1 (plus rounds 2 and 3); not sure who Indiana should have picked at #2 overall. Maybe Naz Hillmon, who was #15 overall (2nd round), but hindsight is 20/20.

Honestly Smith might have been the right pick at the time. But she clearly hasn't improved her game, can't finish around the rim and is absolutely lost on defense. Which is why Temi plays in the key moments now. She's physical, she runs the floor hard and also plays hard on both ends of the floor. Maybe Smith would be better of with a change of scenery. Someone would take a chance on her I believe as a former number 2 pick. Trade her and get what you get and draft another Power Forward.

The idea that the Wings could sneak into the 8th playoff spot and give the Liberty trouble sure crapped out. Following back-to-back wins vs the Lynx and Aces, the Wings have lost four straight and are officially eliminated. The 8th spot is down to the Sky, Dream, and Mystics, with five games left.

Over the last 5 games, Clark is averaging 27 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds. And the Fever are 8-2 since the break. Other than some occasional pouting (which hasn't really hurt the team much), in what manner is Clark letting the pressure get to her?

Her "pouting" or whatever you call it is getting worse.

Two games ago it 100% affected the game. I'm as big of a CC fan as anybody, but it was terrible the other night. She's extremely lucky she didn't get a technical.

I can't think of another player that throws her hands up as much as her. She's doing it to her teammates as well which I really don't care for.

Don't get me wrong, she's still the GOAT.

Agreed it's a bad look. Jordan used to jaw to the refs and teammates all the time, but I think it was visible to the viewers because he wasn't throwing his arms up like Clark does

Example? I can't think of any, but I'm not really watching the game for that. I agree that she has been riding the refs pretty hard. But, I also think she is crushing it overall. The problem with this team isn't her.

When she makes a long pass and they fumble it and it ends up being a turnover.

She's been throwing her hands up and shaking her head.

She's a huge competitor and wants to win, I get it, but she's really starting to look like a whiny bitch.
