*****Official Cubs 2019 thread*****

MLB blackout rules are just stupid. Is all of Iowa blacked out? Sioux City, IA blacked out, cross the river to Dakota Dunes, SD and it's game on. Seven hour drive from Chicago but "in market". So freaking dumb.

It is on Mediacom channel 815 (MyTV) in Iowa City.

Point is Sioux City gets blacked out and is on the Western side of the state 7 hours away. Cubs games are not broadcast OTA over here either, so no way you can watch the game. But go across the river to South Dakota or Nebraska and you can watch the game. Freaking dumb.

Sounds like you need to get yourself the new Cubs Network for $10 a month my friend!!

I istened to a little of the Score and I heard Jonathan Lucroy’s name being thrown around since the Angels dropped him.
Pass. I’d rather have the familiarity of Davis with the pitchers. Lucroy has been broken for two years, and the concussion he sustained this year is clearly lingering. Hard pass.

I'm in South Dakota so I am fine. I'm just fighting the good fight for all my Iowa friends.

It's time Congress gets involved with this blackout BS. No way the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Twins, Royals, and Cardinals can ALL claim Iowa as "In Market". Pointless to have the MLB package in Iowa because you can't watched a quarter of the games.

I have access to probably 80+% of the games and am in dsm.....

even the new guy doesn't want to see darvish winning at wrigley :D
The way that Yu has pitched in the last month... Einstein should figure out a way to trade him and/or Hendricks and restock the farm system. Especially with the lack of quality SP around.;)

Crappy. Especially since there is no where to rehab in September
If the team is at home he can rehab at their facilities in Chicago, or there are first class facilities in Arizona. It obviously isn't 100 percent the same, but there are always guys in Arizona coming and going from the Cubs complex. They are running two Arizona League teams right now. In September you'd find a lot of guys still there getting work, and some IFA kids who have been bumped to the US from the Dominican looking to build on their skills. The Cubs would find someone for him to get some game level stress on the legs and build bat speed.

This is going to be an exceedingly tough home stand against the A's, so the Cubs have to fight through this. Strop should be back in 4-5 days to help against the Reds. His injury was neck stiffness, which to me seemed like he needs a few days off, so lets IL him.
And, Brandon Morrow is just about ready to go!
