*****Official Cubs 2019 thread*****

I understand there are certain matchups and you have to give guys rest but this needs to be the lineup for the majority of this stretch run:

2B: Zobrist
RF: Castellanos
3B: Bryant
1B: Rizzo
SS: Baez
C: Contreras
LF: Schwarber
CF: Heyward
P

If everyone is healthy, that’s a solid lineup.

Sure as shit, for some reason Joe moves Schwarber to #2 and drops Bryant to #5. He just cannot leave things alone.

Cubs are 12-8 against AL teams, same interleague record as the Yankees. Let them play all those crappy AL teams and they would also be over 90 wins, whole lot of bad teams in that league to inflate records.
Jeebus Christ! Interleague records don't mean a damn thing unless a team plays every team in the other league. You're doing some SERIOUS cherry picking with your comparison.

I'll explain it again... the NYY took 2 of 3 @ LAD. Cubbies lost 3 of 4 @ LAD.

Stop being obtuse.

Lol yeah I’m cherry picking... your argument is literally the Yankees won this one series, but hey that is really all ya got.

Again I just wish the Cubs had as many easy wins as the Yankees do on their schedules, I’d much rather have an empty 30 wins added to their win total too.

Just pisses you off that the predicted "decade of dominance" by the Cubs only lasted for a year and a half!:p

Be happy. You guys got your one WS per century.

When’s the last time you won one? Yeah that’s what I thought haha
That's your standard?

Comparing these two franchises is like comparing a Maserati to a Kia. And the Cubs ain't the Maserati.

27 consecutive winning seasons for the team in the Bronx.

Good luck trying to staying ahead of the Mets and Phillies.

With just about everyone else the Cubs are contending against losing tonight, the Cubs lost a good opportunity to gain on everyone. Regardless, if they were going to lose, I would prefer 7-1 over 2-0 or a 9th inning blown save.

On a positive note, maybe Russell can play well enough down the stretch to make some GM want him.

Oh shit we got a Nebraska fan in the house.
Need a hug, snowflake?

Look at the bright side... In October , Cubs fans can watch da Bears or college football while the better MLB teams are playing in the post season...not one game WC games.

Like all Yankees fans are used to, how many playoff series you won the last five years? One?

Someone is bitter. In a division that they should win, comfortably, they will struggle to even make the playoffs.

Just admit it... the Cubs are/were overrated.

And Theo's roster management. But that's another story.

So what was the answer? Is it 1?

Why did you choose such a narrow timeline? Nothing else fit your agenda?

I got one for you. How many WS titles this century for the NYY and is that number 2X the number for the Cubs?

You're such a putz!

What is the answer though?
