Either way, Theo doesn't have to fire him. Maddon's contract is up. Maddon would be free to start negotiating with any other team.

Sorry, there’s no way Theo could not “re-sign” him after a WS win. That’s the only way he’s coming back.

My point was more that Joe will have his choice too. He could simply decide to walk away after the party.

Is this Little League day at Wrigley? These guys are playing like a fricking joke.

The players obviously do not care they are in a playoff chase, so why should I?

Coomer says Lester got squeezed on a couple pitches.

He just unravels when umps make bad calls.

Amazing that these plays keep happening. I guess that the 3-2 pitch was close enough for Contreras to think it might be a strike out and throw out, but just awful fundamentals for the Cubs to throw it around like that. Sadly, this type of play is not an outlier for this team.

The umps may require that the teams stop at second base to chug a beer to slow this game down a touch.

Holy sh*t Zach Zaidman is bad. This is goddamn torture trying to listen to the game at work.
Is he calling the game like he is whispering you a secret? He is not overly good, you are right about that.
