We'll see what he shows in spring training. I really liked the drop in his strikeout rate this year - it was down more than 10 percentage points from last year and he struck out at a lower rate in Chicago than he did at Iowa this year.
I'd like to see if he can get back to driving the ball more next year without increasing the K rate substantially. His BABIP was way down over last year and his walk rate was down. Some of that could be sample size, but part of me also wonders how much of the drops are him focusing so much on contact that he's being more aggressive on so-so pitches. BABIP being down could also be due to getting more bat on ball with 2 strikes....taking ABs that would have been a K last year and turning it into something less than hard contact.
