This couldn’t have gone any better today. 5 efficient innings from JT in his first start, and 4 innings by the bullpen. Brewer got hit a little, but at least he got over the finish line without wasting anyone else going into tomorrow’s double header.

Which is amazing considering the gauntlet of a schedule they started the season with. This team has got some real moxie, I'm seeing another 2015-2018 window coming up if they can get the bullpen/closing situation worked out.

Keegan Thompson, Hayden Wesneski and Ben Brown are the backbone of the Cubs. Not Happ and Suzuki. I loved that Counsell benched Happ today.

He and Madrigal have banjo strings for hammies. Both of them have a history of those injuries.

Suzuki and Happ should spend more time training and taking care of themselves. Instead of trying to be comedians and the Chicago social scene. The Cubs can’t count on them because they’re injured all the time because they won’t train properly.
