How many raised their hands for Kamala vs Trump. Let’s check your knowledge of math.
OMG, shut it all down. The election is over because of that one voter.
There wasn't reporters asking her questions so she is still dodging interviews. Forget that trump has shown without a shadow of doubt he's losing his mind he's stood in front of reporters and not answered their questions that is what really mattersI won’t decide how she did tonight until @binsfeldcyhawk2 lets us know what he thought.

But the mother****er is like 75 and still pretty sharp. Democrats always win the talent contest on these things.I feel like Stevie Wonder has been doing democrat conventions for like 4 decades now
More high thoughts. But that's not to say we don't have our share of intelligent conservatives. They just tend to be more boring and or weird. And not necessarily in a bad weird way, but in a Mitt Romney weird way. (but then there is also the Ted Cruz way)But the mother****er is like 75 and still pretty sharp. Mumble, mumble she needs to answer tough questions, meanwhile Trump is rounding up pals to spend a long weekend in Caracas.
I thought it was pretty good. I was reassured by her Israel/Hamas comments...I won’t decide how she did tonight until @binsfeldcyhawk2 lets us know what he thought.
I just watched the 7 minute segment. They had 8 undecided voters. After her speech it went:
I agree she needs to take unscripted interviews and I think she needs to get concrete specifics out quickly if she wants to make this a real landslide that causes the GOP reset I dearly want.I thought it was pretty good. I was reassured by her Israel/Hamas comments...
Tom, very wise post. It's always good to rely on your betters.
Lucas...she needs to take interviews and questions. This is getting ridiculous.
It was a good speech. I'd just like to hear her unscripted expanding upon what she believes. One thing I know: the speech last night sure as shit wasn’t the speech of a Marxist socialist looney toon libtard moran that MAGA keeps claiming. It was the speech of an American success story, of a strong believer in freedom, of a President.
That is very fair. I’m convinced she is smart enough to know she has to play this down the middle if she wants to get re-elected in 28. I suspect her inclination is to be more progressive, but when it comes down to it she has either listened to moderate voices around her or decided for herself that middle-of-the-road is the winning strategy. She can’t go left once in office if she wants to get anything done.It was a good speech. I'd just like to hear her unscripted expanding upon what she believes.
She's flipped on a lot of her 2020 campaign stuff...and I'm not a fan of her "price gouging" solution that she's proposed this time. We won't get it, but it'd be nice to hear her in a long form interview being asked serious questions or an actual press conference being asked tough questions. I have a feeling whatever interview she does will be pretty "friendly".
She has talent and isn't a dummy....I'm just not sold on her pivot to the middle being authentic. I don't know if the real Harris is the 2020 one or this one in short...
I think her campaign has been making all the right moves the last month. Walking away from her controversial (now) positions from her last run. First real misstep (IMO) was her price gouging (price control) proposal which has been panned by most economists. I wouldn't be surprised if they walk away from that a bit...some of D's that have been asked about it avoid answering directly because they know it's a loser. That is very fair. I 100% agree she needs to dive into specifics. I posted about CNNs undecided focus group earlier. They all wanted more specifics,
100% agree with this. Things go haywire when governments dictate prices. I’m not sure that is exactly what she meant, but that was the impression she gave millions of people. Like all winning candidates ever, she ran to the left in the 2020 primary, and will now move to the middle in the general. It was a good speech. I'd just like to hear her unscripted expanding upon what she believes.

Seems like an over the top assessment.0

I speculated that kamala could be a sleeper candidate back in June before Joe bowed out.
She has been training for this moment for her whole life.
Even these years of ridiculing her as VP has set her up to far exceed expectations as she is now freed up to display her skills and natural political talent. She is a finished product honing her chops the last 4 years. Clearly she was not overwhelmed by the moment...she's embraced it.
She is a political thoroughbred now freed up as her father told her" run fast and far , kamala".
Home run!!!
Everyone knows it. The guy who voted for Trump is fixing the election against Trump. Logic.
Once again it's the Democrats that have to prove they are moderates - which the vast majority of them are - or they can't beat Republicans who are allowed to move further and further away from the middle, not to mention a Democratic Republic, by the year. Again, our electorate just doesn't make a lot of sense in its thinking. It's also incredible that things that the majority of Americans want are considered radical by Republicans. That is very fair. Kamala was more progressive in 2020 and yes she does have to come across as moderate to win. All evidence points to that. Whether or not it is ridiculous it does appear to be the way the electoral map works. I would suggest mobilizing to convince folks to vote. Probably a better strategy than saying the voters are non-sensical.Once again it's the Democrats that have to prove they are moderates - which the vast majority of them are - or they can't beat Republicans who are allowed to move further and further away from the middle, not to mention a Democratic Republic, by the year. Sure. but it doesn't make the comment inaccurate. The Democrats have to play everything basically perfect in order to beat a guy who is a rapist and felon, just for starters. That's incredible and gives me very little faith in our electorate.Kamala was more progressive in 2020 and yes she does have to come across as moderate to win. All evidence points to that.
