People forget that our backups are on the team for a reason. These guys would have been the starters on most other teams.

We have 2 walk on players that took reps this week during practice ( Grant and Mcnamara.)
I would wonder if they spent a bit of time giving Spann some reps. He was a 3 star QB coming out of high school and played the position initially at Illinois. He was way down the depth chart so moved to WR - but he would still likely be a better option than a freshman walkon

Ignore the score and just watch the individual position groups and watch for development and play time for these young guys that are going to be starting in 2024. That's what I'm doing.
