***Official Illinois at Iowa Game Thread***

As well as Brady has played I still want to live and die with Moss. Seems like Fran goes with Brady down the stretch banking I guess on experience.

As well as Brady has played? He's had two decent games in the last two months. OSU and Rutgers.

How has he played on this three game losing streak?

He's still 10X the player Ellingson is. No one played well today's

Bohannon got fouled all game and they don't call anything on perimeter when he gets his dribble impeded.

anyway, kind of a choke and not smart b-ball. No post season for this group.

I just arrived back at home and checked the score. Losing on the road to Illinois with a young team is understandable; however, there is no excuse for losing at home to Illinois. Chalk it up as another close loss for a Fran coached Iowa team.

He hasn't played poorly. I didn't mean to suggest he's in some sort of zone or anything.

I know one thing, after today my hatred of illinois just went back to 80s and 90s level. Just a garbage ass team that gunks up the game.

And we just don't get calls. Home floor or otherwise.

My biggest frustration remains the Carver atmosphere, though.

When Peter puts the ball on the deck for more then two bounces bad things happen. Pemsl needs to go to bunny school. I love Baer's game, but when he ties to be THE guy it's not pretty. Wagner gets more offensive rebounds then defensive for the year.

You could just see this result coming the whole game. The bigs did shoot ft's well, but J Bo missing two and Peter missing the front end late hurt. I'm ready for next year as this team is going to need to show some heart the rest of the way.

To many players in rotation. Wagner limited offense, jobo slow, williams can't shoot, jok plane sucks, Uhl what is his purpose, cook and pemsl can't block out. ok I'll say it I wish fran would pack his bags and leave. Until we get point who can penetrate fran will never succeed.

Lost this game many ways. 12 first half TOs when IL could not throw it in the ocean. Second half 5-6 missed layups, FTs, cannot grab the ball. Ball game.

Worst performance of the year after UNO.

I'm glad you are. How was the outcome?
If he passes up open shots then even more pressure is on Jok to manufacture offense, which is a recipe for bad offense.

Iowa should have pounded it inside much more given how physical illinois defends the perimeter, and how early Iowa earned the bonus and double-bonus.

I hate to say it, but the energy and moxie this team showed when Jok was out has dissipated with Jok's return.

I hope they figure it out if for no other reason than to build confidence and expectations for themselves going into the offseason.

that call that got reversed and the Illini got the ball--they scored

Huge.

JoBo missing both FTs--huge
Was not only reversed was reversed from the correct call to the wrong call by an official that could not see the play. How do you see something that isnt there. Unless you want to. That was twice an out of bounds was reversed by the same official who wasn't there to actually see and make the call.

We're not talking about passing up open looks. Today Baer was catching and shooting. Some were 25'ers.

You mean the ref who was next to Groce? Hmmmmm

Yeah reversing that call made no sense. The guy under the basket who actually saw it, made the right call.
