wow, losing to a lousy illini team twice is pretty bad.
His 2 missed fts were inexcusable and him getting bitch slapped on that open layup was also just sad.
Iowa moving forward needs Baer to be a 3-point threat. I'm pleased as hell that he has the confidence to let it fly.
As well as Brady has played? He's had two decent games in the last two months. OSU and Rutgers.
How has he played on this three game losing streak?
The rotations, if that's what you'd even call them, are just insanity. It's almost exhausting trying to make sense or complain about them anymore.
Bohannon got fouled all game and they don't call anything on perimeter when he gets his dribble impeded.

Why do you keep bringing up Ellingson? Nothing to do with Bohannon being slow and missing late game free throws.
Because that was my original point. Bohannon is 10x the player Ellingson is.
Well getting shot blocked reminds me of Gesell at OSU last year. I'll give bohannon pass on missed Fts...stuff happens.

I know one thing, after today my hatred of illinois just went back to 80s and 90s level. Just a garbage ass team that gunks up the game.
And we just don't get calls. Home floor or otherwise.
My biggest frustration remains the Carver atmosphere, though.

When Peter puts the ball on the deck for more then two bounces bad things happen. Pemsl needs to go to bunny school. I love Baer's game, but when he ties to be THE guy it's not pretty. Wagner gets more offensive rebounds then defensive for the year.

To many players in rotation. Wagner limited offense, jobo slow, williams can't shoot, jok plane sucks, Uhl what is his purpose, cook and pemsl can't block out. ok I'll say it I wish fran would pack his bags and leave. Until we get point who can penetrate fran will never succeed.
If he passes up open shots then even more pressure is on Jok to manufacture offense, which is a recipe for bad offense.
Iowa should have pounded it inside much more given how physical illinois defends the perimeter, and how early Iowa earned the bonus and double-bonus.
I hate to say it, but the energy and moxie this team showed when Jok was out has dissipated with Jok's return.
I hope they figure it out if for no other reason than to build confidence and expectations for themselves going into the offseason.
Was not only reversed was reversed from the correct call to the wrong call by an official that could not see the play. How do you see something that isnt there. Unless you want to. That was twice an out of bounds was reversed by the same official who wasn't there to actually see and make the call.
We're not talking about passing up open looks. Today Baer was catching and shooting. Some were 25'ers.
Yeah reversing that call made no sense. The guy under the basket who actually saw it, made the right call.
