*****OFFICIAL IOWA at Wisconsin Game Thread*****

At home, I agree with you. On the road? Iowa has sucked all year on the road in the B10 and UW's D is the best in the B10. Young players came of age last week and are crapping their pants in Wisconsin.

If what you're saying is true, then a large part of that is coaching.

It's November 11th.

What about the other 29:30 minutes of this shit show?

The offense has been complete garbage. Luckily for them, special teams has been worse.

I'm not saying BF is great or even good. I'm saying as long as KFis at Iowa his ultra conservativeness will always hamper the offense. I was really hoping after last week we wouldn't play like we wanted a low close scoring game cominng down to the last possession.

We HAVE to come up with a different strategy for teams most like us:

UW, NW, MSU

That's funny because "teams most like us" have historically been the best matchups for the Hawks. Uncreative pro style offenses in the B1G were the one thing we had going for us.

I'm done with these coaches.

Again.

WI is nothing special, and they're not running anything special. These coaches flat out refuse to adjust the offense to beat this pressure. It's happened all season. The worst part is, we have exactly the weapons to beat it. Why do we not do it?

It's willful negligence on the job. It's not OK. It should not be tolerated.

The worst part is we have an incompetent AD and an impotent president. They see no problems, so same mistakes will be made year after year for foreseeable future.

It's actually worse that last week happened. They showed what they could do. Why shell up again? It's asinine. And ruining my interest in my favorite sport.

That is what I am afraid of. How ugly will this one get. Iowa looks so unprepared and playing not to lose. Deer in head lights. I hope they can fix it, but fear the opposite.

Hopefully they can adjust in the second half, especially on this first drive. Wisconsin sold out in the first half defensively. Hopefully, Iowa remembers that they have two pretty good tight ends.......

Apparently after our tightends dominated OSU last week, we decided we can't use them this week.
So where do you think they're going when you watch the play? Do you think they're just wasting away as blockers, or running Greg Davis 3 yd routes?...........

I see what they're doing, I just wanted to know what you see, since a bunch of you are saying "we're not using our TEs".......

I would say the defensive line is getting worn down. Happens a lot in Iowa games when the offense can't move the chains.

I would agree it’s likely to happen when the offense can’t sustain drives. I’m saying that I haven’t seen it yet this game. The defense is holding its own and has given the offense a shot to win. Three TOs and scored the only points. Pathetic

What a pathetic performance.

Flat out embarrassing.

The offense and Ferentz don't even look disturbed by how bad they look. Not even making an effort.
I’m as disappointed as anyone, but to your point, do you expect your leaders losing emotional control to help the situation? Come on, let’s be real. They’re upset, but need to regroup at half. Regroup themselves and their players.

You're really surprised by the 1st half performance?

Can’t throw to anybody if you don’t have time....Wisconsin LB was right in his assessment of their plan earlier in the week...blitz the shit out of them and throw off their timing....Oline not gettingvoff the ball like last week...makes a big diff.

I said it this week, too. UW blitzes like no one else in the B10. Ohio State foolishly played a base D or nickel a bunch of the game and hardly ever blitzed.

Play not to lose.

As I proclaimed over and over after last week, enjoy it cuz Wisconsin will destroy us.

WE are in the game defensively---Wisconsin pro style offense not the problem. The Wisconsin 3-4 defense and willingness to blitz/disguise the blitz is un-Iowa like.

First series to start the 3rd qtr:

- Token run play nets 2-5 yes and 2nd down

- Pass play where Stanley has to throw it away 3rd down

- Pass play incomplete. Punt

What a pathetic way to show up after a great win last week. Sadly Iowa is going to be on the losing end of a 31 point beat down today. On top of that Iowa can't win on the road, if this crap continues next week Iowa could drop 3 in a row to finish the season.

No idea why Iowa looks so awful on the road in B1G play.

Yep, it is pathetic.

It will be interesting to see if they try to make any 2nd half adjustments on offense. To be honest, it seems like Wisconsin has dissected everything Iowa has tried to do and is a step ahead of them. And I really think field position has become the boogey man for Brian, because when Iowa has bad field position the offense goes into a shell.

Got to be willing to run your offense and try to change field position.

Is Wadley hurt?! We've seen an awfully lot of James Butler today. So either Wadley is injured or the coaches THOUGHT we'd ground and pound with the bigger bruiser and "see what happens".
