Cincy is a good team. This puts the Hawkeyes on the top 25 list. Not having JBO makes that even more impressive.

For those who wrote off Evelyn, this pretty much proves his worth. He just needed his moments to shine.
Gutted out the W after too many days off. We are going to have a significant adjustment period after losing J-Bo.

Still got to play Toussaint, though. He needs to know that he's not the problem. They ALL struggled with turnovers.

You get the feeling that earlier on in the year, he was trying to figure out what his role was going to be on the team, and playing hesitantly... and with Bohannon out, Fran told him to go out and play his game, and he did.
Evelyn looked exactly like the experienced vet that I’d hoped he’d be prior to the year. Hopefully he keeps it up

We did everything we could to piss that game away and still won, plus Evelyn had his coming out party. I think this is great that we have some obvious things to work on and we have a tune up before B10 play. We are gonna be good

No, but they'll do what they do and rack up quite a few wins against a conference full of average teams.
Sure looked to me like the Refs were prompted to call JT on offensive fouls.
All those fouls and not 1 other guy called for an offensive on a drive.
Nice plays by Evelyn at the end. Glad Cincy didnt shoot the ball well. Lots of things to work on, but this a win they can build from, especially not folding when they could have.
