**** Official Israel War thread****

You do land involves cities and buildings right? Hence, urban warfare. I am dumbfounded with you right now.

The article you posted stated that Israel is going to know their buildings.

The advantage Hamas has is that Israel would been to move forward...while Hamas can entrench, build barriers, etc. Israeli soldiers would have to expose themselves to some extent to move forward. That part I never disagreed with you on.

@JRHawk2003 is correct. You are too dense to converse with. I hope to never engage with you again.

My hot take:

The administration may have actually learned from its decisionmaking process in Ukraine, where the initial policy was to focus somewhat more on nonescalation than on Ukraine. Obviously, Iran is probably not quite Russia, so it's probably at least a little easier to implement that lessson.
Thank God he's President and not the pitiful joke that preceded him.

Spin? Stop both siding and being way too naive far too often.
well, when we have you on one side, and others here on the other, SOMEONE has to provide some read of what's ACTUALLY going on...

(But, I KNEW you could do it if you tried!)

I just wanted you to show me any legal source that thinks Israel has to provide material support to their enemy. I get it that is your opinion that they should.

I am always open to being proven wrong...I actually have in the past in this forum...and I accept it when I am.

Was your UI degree in International relations?

Was your UI degree in International relations?

Whoever said I went to Iowa?

And what difference does it make what my degree is in?

Oh ...and I actually do not have a degree. I am sure that one class I am missing for an English bachelor...or the three classes I am missing for a teaching bachelor...or the two I am missing for a business management bachelor makes all the difference in my intelligence.

I do read alot and pay attention...and love to learn....which might explain having almost 300 college credits and nothing more than Associates degree in Education.

I also have no problem with learning I am incorrect....which is why I asked for the source of what you stated so I can learn.

As I have said all along...I was speaking to your comment about them having an advantage because they know the land.

That is all I was speaking to....all I have been speaking to.

You keep trying alto add more into it for some reason....suddenly off on some urban warfare tangent that has nothing to do with what I said.
It’s what he does.

No idea, honestly. I feel like an invasion could be a mistake, though.

Was mainly responding to the “level the place” type posts.
Pssst. A lot of people in this thread don’t like non whites. They’d say “level it”, if the thread was about Minneapolis or Portland. This thread is just amplifying and emboldening them.

The air craft carrier group is going to help deter. They try to invade or launch missiles and O predict we will be seeing some major US air power helping out making a death zone for the northern invaders.

No we won't. That's a major escalation.

Get real. We don't want in a hot war

I think this is true, but I heard on TV that the last elections in Gaza were in 2006. So, for all the, “They voted for Hamas, they all deserve it”, crowd, Obama was in the Senate, and half of Gaza’s population today wasn’t born, yet.

How do you conduct an invasion of Gaza? Are they going after arms stashes and suspected HQs and then withdraw?

Or are they going to occupy for the long haul, like we did in Iraq and Afghanistan, and fight constant battles here and there?

Or they have anticipated Israels response and are waiting for the army to come in so they can use a WMD.

Israeli intelligence knows enrichment of uranium in Iran enough for the first bomb is very close.

What if they’re wrong and it’s already done and an Iranian made bomb is already in Gaza underground? Safe to say Hamas is not beyond nuking their own in the name of jihad and then claim it was an Israeli weapon.

Probability this happens is very low but yet I would not be surprised if they pulled it off.
Fissile material is easily traced. Every reactor is different. They’d need Uranium enriched in Israel to credibly blame them.

At the hotel this morning they had Fox on in the breakfast area. I was fear porned about terror attacks in the US and around the world on Fox and on X.
Did I miss them?

Good to see this thread is still going 'strong'.

1950 posts and at least 1875 of them are mud slinging insults directed at another poster; for the other person's viewpoint on the conflict or their perceived lack of intelligence, etc.

~45 of the remaining 75 posts are actual news/info related to whats happening over there and/or the world's reaction to it.

Good stuff on Lib TV this morning with two GOP House members. Lawler from NY, and a guy from ND. They mentioned that China buys the bulk of Iranian oil, and China has made no comments condemning the terror attacks on Israel.
Let’s all save some vitriol for China when blaming Iran for priming Hamas. And, we still need to get a solid analysis as to who funded and trained the terrorists. They were clearly well trained and equipped.

My bet is Iran.

Ask yourself…who’d you rather have train you on terrorist stuff. Iran or Russia.

It's disappointing that more than two decades after 9/11, terrorist groups are still able to gather, organize and train for massive operations. I realize this wasn't an attack against the United States, but it might as well have been. The free world needs to be completely unified against terrorism and act as a single force.
