What’s really sad about this whole deal is, at the end of the day this conflict is about one thing. Fvcking religion. I mean, JFC, we as a species have been at each other’s throats for over two millennia and there is no end in sight. How fvcking sad, pathetic, and barbaric we are. I hate to have this opinion, but we aren’t gonna change anytime soon, so it’s probably best they just go at it until one side is exterminated. I mean, they will never exist in such close proximity and have any kind of peace.
I’m actually skeptical of that, and thonk it’s well beyond that (though not itrelevss as my).
You don’t think the hatred these people have for each other isn’t rooted in religion?

Make a country out of the West Bank and Gaza and stop spending money on terror. How about that? Seems to work for every other religion vs religion in the world.
No question thet Iran is the destabilzing force in the area. Were it not for tI think cooler heads would prevail. The sad part is, I don't think the average Iranian wants it to be like this. They are the victims or their own leadership as well sadly.
Some day, perhaps soon, Iran will have to be dealt with. There is NO WAY we can allow them to acquire a nuclear weapon.
Think about it. This is generations of fighting. Beyond that, the Palestinians aren’t the only Muslims, yet bear the brunt of the conflict. Perhaps ethnic is a better word than race. But it’s not simply religious rivalry.
You are not explaining. You are actually disproving your point. How is this not religious?
If it were strictly religious you’d expect the other members of the religion to be participating. To be sure it’s part of it but i just think it wildly oversimplifies it to say it all about religion
They are. Hezbollah and Iran. There are going to be other factions that contribute for other reasons (Russia) but that is political. You are being obtuse to say it isn't based on religion. Edit: I love your pivot to strictly. Good job.

As noted, race may not be the most precise word; ethnic may be better. On that front, consider how the sides refer to each other (analogous perhaps to Yugoslavia) and how much it’s sbout land in its history
You aren't providing anything for me to agree with you though. You are just basing this on your opinion. I don't think many people are going to side with you. Edit: The issues in the former Yugoslavian countries are mostly based on religion.
They hit a convoy of cars? And the first assumption is fleeing civilians? I see an awful lot of able bodied men in that picture. Including one in a white shirt and dress pants. I'd guess, it is far more likely that that convoy was carrying Hamas fighters or even leadership and was targeted accordingly. I do see what looks like a female in a burqa that I wonder if she isnt family of Hamas leadership like wife etc...
Just a theory. I have a LOT of doubt that this was a targeted attack on fleeing civilians.
It’s noticeable how little support Hamas has. No stories of massive rallies in Jordan or Egypt for them. Oil bumped up but that is gouging, not based on supply issues. It isn’t 1973 anymore. The oil producers need the revenue to keep their own populations docile.
The rest of the Arab world is not rushing to stop Israel from pulverizing Gaza.
Just got back to the hotel after dinner with the wife’s BFF and her family. She’s a longtime school teacher and she was talking school stuff when a young man clearing the tables chimed in that he just started teaching school. He teaches social studies and said it’s frustrating that the admin turns to them to explain complex issues to the school when passions are high. He teaches in a Minneapolis high school and they were trying to be supportive of their large number of Jewish students, but the large Muslim population felt excluded and demonized.
