**** Official Israel War thread****

Which will never happen so Israel's only option is to fortify their borders and defense systems as much as possible.
I wouldn't be surprised if they reclaim Gaza, sweep the entire region and kill anyone who resists, then send all Gaza non militant citizens to the west Bank. Allowing a terrorist organization to run and occupy that piece of land isn't working for Israel.
No matter what this isn't going to end quickly or peacefully.

Unfortunately, I can’t say I disagree with any of this. I’m positive that they will reclaim the Gaza Strip. I do see this escalating as other terrorist groups wont let it stand.

How long are we going to wait until these two lifelong useless people condemn this attack?

It will be interesting to see Republicans twist themselves in knots over the next few days explaining why we should give Israel whatever aid and equipment they want while claiming we can no longer afford to support Ukraine.
Skipping that and going straight to the immigrants flooding our border means it could happen in the U.S trope.

Where was the Israeli military??

Yikes.
I don’t understand a lot of it. Here we had an international music festival to celebrate a Jewish holiday and it’s right on the border with Gaza, and there doesn’t seem to be any protection. I know the Israeli’s want to celebrate with their families too but defense is not something a country can just stop doing for a holiday. When they were getting permits for this festival there should have been something in there for paying for or requesting security. I know it was a festival of ‘peace’ but come on man you’re celebrating a Jewish holiday on the doorstep of a Muslim extremist terrorist organization. I’m not trying to blame the victims I’m just thinking there’s some questions to be answered in the future.

We have a Democrat governor of Michigan who is too scared to even name the group attacking Israel.
I had no idea my governor was responsible for U.S. foreign relations and Middle East policy. Maybe I should have voted for the soft porn star instead?

Besides, I thought Trump and his son-in-law fixed all this mess a few years ago.

Then why in the hell is she out making statements refusing to name the attackers?

Biden ****ed it up. It’s what he is good at.

I don’t think this has to be an “inside job” by the government at all. Israel literally has a sizable population within their boarder which doesn’t believe they have the right to exist as a nation or people. All it takes is some pressure from outside of the country and then those within the country who believe the same to start chaos.

As far as getting caught with their pants down, they literally have to be right 24/7. All it takes is launching 300 rockets at a time and some to connect, plus a ground offensive. Israel is going to unleash hell on Earth and from some of the videos I’ve seen, I can’t say I blame them.

Once this particular conflict comes to an end (if it does) they should probably keep the spoils as they’ve tried to give land back they conquered in the past and it didn’t appease that Arabs.
Title should be changed to jo biden's war.

You’re being deliberately obtuse. I lived in Michigan and it’s full of people (aka voters) who despise Israel and all things Jewish/Israeli.

Wow, just catching up on the reports that Americans were killed and kidnapped….if true….we need to use that carrier strike group that’s on the way.

Send a message.

Here’s the deal, Saudi Arabia and Israel are more friendly than they have been (certainly traditionally anyways). The Jordanians and Egypt too. That doesn’t mean there aren’t lots of people in those countries who sympathize and celebrated what has happened in Israel the past 48 hours. Not to mention, you literally have entire countries who want nothing more than to kill all Jews, it’s not just about having them leave that region.

As far as Palestine goes, it’s the red headed stepchild of the Arab world. Literally no one wants those people around. Israel at least has opened its doors to people of other faiths where their Muslim brothers won’t. That small strip of land, is being governed by a terrorist organization that uses women and children as shields and shoot rockets from hospitals and schools daring the IDF to shoot back.
So, what's the solution for meaningful peace? You can call the Palestinaians red headed step children, but they are there. The are not all terrorists. As I have stated before, Israel occupied the Gaza Strip for many, many years. They pulled out, but left a feckless PA in charge, and have done everything they can to strangle the economy and make living conditions harsh in Gaza.
It is untenable. Nothing excuses what's going on now, especially the hostage taking, but Netanyahu has benefited from a continued low intensity conflict during his tenure. He did nothing to solve the issues, and in fact ushered in harsher policies when he resumed office, and brought in ultra hard right coalition members to keep himself afloat politically. If you read the writings of some of the people Netanyahu has put into his government you see the same strident tones as from the most radicalized Palestinians.
Tell me the end game in which the Palestinians are able to prosper and live peacefully with Israel?
